First time post here, so bare with me.
Im just wondering about the technology in the withings watches batteries. I had a G-shock in the 90s and it was solar powered (required 5min sun a year as I remember) and another friend had a kinetically powered watch. These technologies have been around a while, and I would imagine incorporating them into a smart watch would insanely difficult, but would it be possible?
The battery usage is my biggest issue with watches, and I would imagine that the major issue is with the HR sensor. Could something like the above help to solve the battery concern, or perhaps solid state batteries would help also?
Insight would be super appreciated.
