    Dear Withings,

    I'm facing exactly the same issue. It started more or less two weeks ago.

     

    When I measure myself immediately after re-installation or factory reset or removal of batteries, it measures body composition again, but the day after we are back at square one.

    My firmware is up to date, the scale is connected to the WIFI, the scale recognizes the person and measurement are sent to my phone. 

     

    Please find a solution ASAP.

    Dear Mark,

     

    I also contaced the support team but I get in an endless loop of new guys in the support team proposing me to clean my scale and reminding me I need to stand barefoot on my scale. 

    I hope you have more luck. Please share if you found a solution.

    Hi,

    I guess we've been all facing a truly bad support team. Well, I have ask for a repair center or anything recommanded by Withings so we could get our scale fixed (any brand with a correct support team would do ....). I had no answers so far.

    I have been in touch with an excellent technician who told me that in my case, the problem is not software but hardware.

    Well, if you are facing the exact problem as I am, it comes from the welding under the center metal cap. They are very fragile. So if you remove carefully the metal cap (it is stuck with glue so a heater is necessary), you'll see 4 welded wires to some kind of thimbles in 4 corners of the scale (following the black lines). Those thimbles are supposed to be in contact (and not welded !) to the center metal cap. In my case, one of the wire was not welded anymore :), so the courant couldnt go through anymore ...

    Dear Aziz,

     

    Maybe or problems aren't related then, because when I do a factory reset (or just remove the batteries for a while) it works again for one measurement. After that first measurement, things go wrong again. 

    So this means the hardware is still working, but something in the software get's corrupted.

     

    I still hope to find a solution that circumvents me from opening the scale.

    Same thing is happening to me! Any luck? I bought this scale to do more than just my weight! Come on Nokia! Help us all out!

    Customer service told me there is a hardware fault and because I'm 2months out of the warranty I need to buy a new one. 

    They offered me a discount however.

     

    On the other hand I'm still not convinced it is a hardware fault as I am able to measure body composition after I perform a factory reset. But after 1 measurement it fails again. This feels to me like a corruption in the firmware instead of a hardware error. 

     

    Most likely I will open the scale and try to find a solution myself...

    Nokia,

    I am having the same problems as above. Not very happy with it and thinking of dumping it and getting a new one - definitely not a Nokia, unless anyone has found a solution for this problem.  Have looked everywhere and found nothing.  Any suggestions welcome, fix it or dump it?

    Providing a Forum is great but does no one from the company respond?

    Very frustrating indeed.  Makes me wonder about the product and the makers?

    Do I need to avoid them in the future?

    The same problem here. After first day it just stopped to measuer oher data than weight. If no response i will give it back to e-store.

    The answer to my problem was this turned off:

    What is misleading is this screen:

    It suggests that the measurement coudn't be obtained/measured whereas it was just disabled. Withings - change it!

    I have the same problem and contacted the support team. Will see if I’m luckier. If not, I’ll ensure that the quality of the support is known to future potential buyers. This is too expensive of a product to be just a basic connected scale...
