I agree that a second hand would be nice. However, Withings devices are first and foremost, ACTIVITY TRACKERS. A major selling point of Withings devices is the battery life as compared to other manufacturers. By installing an analogue second-hand, the battery life would be shortened correspondingly so it's (in my opinion) a compromise that's not worth investigating as I think battery life more important than a second hand.

How much would it shorten the battery life? Right now, without notifications, I only need to charge my watch monthly. What would be the difference in charging for a second hand useful to EMS workers, engineers, and timed sports? Charge every week? Worth it!

They could add a seconds function to show them in the digital display.

Love this idea! I’ve become dependent on the rail to get to work and have actually been looking at alternative timepieces b/c seconds now matter. Having a way to temporarily convert the step hand to seconds would result in me wanting to upgrade rather than moving on to something else.

Yes, please. The lack of a second hand is the only reason I haven't bought this watch yet

After long research and product coperison the HR Steal would be my 1st choice for design, battery live and other functionality but i need a watch that shows me seconds analog or digital when getting patients pulse. I'm also have a Whitings scale, so it would have bean the perfect match if it would display seconds.
Pleas ad a second display and a timer with vibration alert.

I agree. The reason why I haven't bought this activity tracker is because of the lack of a second hand. I require one for checking pulse - otherwise, this watch would meet all the functional abilities of a regular analogue watch AND have the benefits of the activity tracking. I would not mind charging more frequently in order to have this function.

Hi guys - please please please enable an update to allow seconds to be displayed on the screen for a minute if you press the crown button. It could be the first of the selections when cycling through the menu and would be massively helpful.
    Cheers!

I just found these watches and other products. Got the Scan watch, BPM and scale. Wanted to get my wife a watch as well, but that's a hard NO without a convenient second hand or display. She is a nurse and needs it for pulse like many of the other health professionals here.

Disappointed that a great health tool neglects our health professionals.

Edit: Thinking about this more led me to a simple long press or a double press of the crown could make the minute hand run a 60 sec. cycle starting from the 12 o'clock position when needed. This could be a firmware update for all models as the dial positions are firmware controlled independently. Could also be an enabled shortcut like the quicklook in settings for those that don't want/need it.

Make this a great tool for our health professionals so they can enjoy it as much as the rest of us can.
