Better Body STILL not working after 5 months

    Totally agree.  I don't see how a program that worked perfectly fine at one time (I bought a body+ scale last october and the program worked at that time) would take nearly 3 months to "fix".  I think a high school  kid with good programming and computer skills could have it up and running by this afternoon.  So what exactly is going on, Withings?  I mean 3 months seems like more than enough time to get this program working again.

    Edit #1: 2 days later and it starts working again! I am beyond happy because I finally get to use the program. Will update if anything falters again :)

    Edit #2: 6 days after that and it’s broken again. Loving the consistency withings! 😰

     

    original: Same boat here! I bought the body plus scales before the new year so I could get a handle on my health throughout 2019. "Better body" was the best option for me as I really wanted to learn about body composition and lose fat. The program worked for a week before coming up with the same "Uh oh!" message. Really disappointed with this as it was the main reason I spent $200 on the scales in the first place... Wish a representative from Withings could come forth and say why it's taking so long. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is limited because of the issue.

    I have exactly the same problem. It’s so disappointing that nobody from withings cares that this service is actually down for such a long time.

    It seems it has been withdrawn pending a “new program”, got this from support yesterday:

    Please know that the Better Body program is unavailable because it will be replaced with a different program. There is no specific information yet about the new program but once it's released, we will update the Health Mate app.

    The app on my phone isn’t receiving updates of my weight measurements again. Apparently hasn’t registered any measurements since Sunday

    Super lame. I have no idea why they would have intentionally broke part of the application many months ago, on purpose because at some mystery time in the future someone was going to release something new. Sounds like they are just blowing smoke. If they were coming out with something new then why not leave existing functionality in place until the new programs are ready. And if it was on purpose, why is that program still in the catalog vs removing it so new customers won’t be as annoyed as we are?

    The app says it is working again and it shows up in the dashboard. I can’t make it past the animated introduction slides, then the uh oh message shows again

    Ok so I had a notification saying it’s now working. I first made sure I closed any existing Better Body enrolments and waited 24hrs before signing up to the program again.

    It seems to have gone through all the steps and now asking me to make sure weigh myself each day for week 1.

    3 Days into the program and I am getting the same error

    WHY ARE WITHINGS UNABLE TO FIX THIS??? I am no longer recommending this scale to any of my friends or family as the app is very buggy.

    I'm glad not to be the only person with the same problem😠
    I don't know how many months passed since this problem was first reported, but it still hasn't been fixed...

    I'm in week 5 of the better body program and trying to open the day 1 article it just sits on the loading screen and never does anything. This is the second program that I've had do something similar. I have to agree, this is absurd. I work in IT and there's no reason a simple webpage load (which is all this is) should be broken so often and so consistently without metrics picking it up, and someone fixing it.

    Is anyone else disturbed by the animation of a guy sneaking a bite of a hamburger - on a program that is supposed to support weight loss and health!?

    Same thing on Android: trying to enroll I get "One moment please" then it hangs with an animation of a woman hammering a keyboard. When I go back to the home page it shows as an active plan, but when I tap into it I just get back to the same animation.

    My wife, on Apple, gets the Uh oh! message.

    I think the only way to help them is to post one star reviews so that people won't be stuck in the same boat as us. Web pages shouldn't be down more than a few hours, if not a few days at most. A website that is down for months when the product is specifically advertised with that feature being available should have to face some kind of accountability. It is false advertising and a con game.
