Hello, my Steel HR (Nokia) stucked with version 5331 although a newer version is out there carrying alarm snooze feature. Why does this happen to me and how should I do to make it work again?

How do you know that a newer version is available?
My Steel HR (some months old) is also on 5331 and shows no update available.

I am referring to this link

I'm having the same issue. "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again."
I know a newer version is available because it says "Update Available."

I am on 5331 on my Steel HR Sport. If I check for updates I get a message that says my watch is now up to date.

sean.engelhardt do you have HR or HR Sport?
I have regular HR and no notification of update.
If I manually check for update then app does some searching and claims "up to date".
I know mobile phones are updated according to regions but I don't understand what Withings is doing with this.

Regular Steel HR. I had not used it for awhile so I'm on software version 3351.

I just got an E mail from customers support. I wish someone from Whithings would read this forum.
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear that your Steel HR Sport is not updating to the new firmware version. Let me assist you with that.
I appreciate the effort on trying to manually update the firmware version of your Steel HR.
We release firmware updates for our products in batches. Once the update is available for your watch it will appear in the Timeline of the Health Mate app and you will be able to update your watch from there. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything else.

Mine updated flawlessly today, no idea what it was for, but it worked first time and I didn't have to do anything other than keep the phone open and near the watch.

It finally worked for me. What I had to do was:
try a couple of times
reset watch to factory settings
try some more
Turn phone off then back on
Turn bluetooth off, then back on
Delete and reinstall healthmate app
try several times
reset watch to factory settings again
delete flash-cache in watch
try several times again
send another e-mail to customer service
start tracking how far along it got before the dreaded "X" and "An unexpected error has occurred"
Then, on the third attempt, the update finally installed completely.
Over 1.5 hours and a few dozen attempts.

Lodom2, hilariously, this almost exactly what I did and it finally worked for me too. Then customer service is like, okay cool so it's resolved now?

App says update available. Fails to update every time "Unexpected error occurred"
