Totally agree it is too fast but I don't know of anyway to change it.  I hope it is an issue that Withings fixes in future updates.

Agreed. Would be good to have alerts scrolling go slower too.

Agree - half a second date, I can barely focus quickly enough.

You cannot press the button again to check the date for a second time - you have to press multiple times through the menu and when I finally reach date again, it's on for 0.5 seconds again.

What is the purpose of this brief display followed by the digital time (when I can already see the analogue time)?

A very simple thing to change, I would have thought?

I got my Steel yesterday and this is exactly the problem I am having. Would appreciate a firmware update from Withings.

I also agree. I'd like to see date and time as separate sortable display items so I could deselect digital time and just have date.

As David suggested, there should be a settable option to have date displayed without disappearing (basically, instead of time).

I second David and bzelezni's suggestion!

As suggested, there should be a settable option to have date displayed without disappearing basically, instead of time. I also wrote to their support several times unsuccessfully. And as seen here, this thread is not answered either. Get into the fight NOKIA! Do something! Br Torben C. Copenhagen. Danmark.

I second the idea to have the date as a separate item in the menu. I can already see the time in the watch itself. 100% of the time I press it to see the date not the time.

The date display is really bad. What is the purpose even of the tome display, the analogue clock is already displaying the time

We should all request this change until they fix it. One click date, second click time, etc.

+1 just received my Steel HR and can't quite believe how the Withings UX folk have gone wrong here. The purpose of the analogue hands is to tell the time. Having the date shown for less than 0.5 seconds then replaced by digital time is bonkers.

+1 PLEASE create either an always-on display for date or at least let me set the display time for date when I click the button

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us and for the link you've provided. I'm sorry to hear that your Steel HR is showing the date too fast. I'll be happy to assist.

The Steel HR normally shows the date briefly and adjusting the timing is not an available option. However, I'm happy to share this with our development team as feedback to improve our products and services in the near future.

Please stay tuned for future feature announcements by following our Twitter and Facebook accounts, and checking on our blog.

I'm brand new to the watch today. That is one thing that I really don't like (because I can never remember the date especially now). I sent them a suggest to at least separate the date from the time. That is, the first click should be date, then the second can be time. The third can be heart rate, etc. That should be super easy to implement from a development point of view.
