Months later, still no support, still no response, but they put the Google Fit logo on their packaging, and they claim everywhere that syncing with Google Fit is an included feature.  It's false advertising, contractually illegal, and a reason to encourage anyone to not buy this product.

My watch currently also does not sync sleep data with Google fit. I've been really interested in getting the sleep tracker mat but until sleep data syncs with Google fit or at least they can be bothered to respond here I cannot even consider it.

Is the Withings Sleep Mat syncing with Google Fit?  I have the mat (been using it for quite some time) and just installed the Google Fit update on my phone whereby Google Fit now shows sleep data, however my data from the Withings Sleep mat isn't showing.  I haven't seen anywhere for me to enable the sleep data to go across.  Perhaps there's an update coming from Nokia/Withings.  Because when I click on the Google Fit sync in the Healthmate app, it shows which items are to sync across to Google Fit, eg heart rate, steps, activities, weight, etc., but not sleep.

Me too. Now on my 4th Withings watch having tried Activité Pop, Ox, Move (all rubbish) and now Steel HR sport which certainly isn't rubbish, its very good. It works well with HealthMate with very good steps, activity, calories, HR, yes and sleep. Most data syncs very quickly and reliably with Google Fit, but NOT sleep data there is no sync.

Odd because my little cheap Mi Band does reasonable sleep data (not as good as Steel HR) and the Mi Fit data syncs sleep perfectly with Google Fit and has done for the past 2 years.

So no excuses Withings, accept that your claimed Google Fit support is incomplete then do something about it.

Quickly please. You have an ambassador here who wishes to help promote you, but you're not making it easy!

The worst thing is, it was very widely reported at all the major tech blogs about a month ago that Sleep reporting inside Google Fit is fully functional, including integration with other companies' tracker devices.

Meantime, in private customer support messages, Withings has claimed that they are "working on" an update, but that's been going on for about 1/2 year.

And now, Withings Sleep is the ONLY sleep tracker on the market that REFUSES to sync with Google Fit and its robust cloud service.

Just a little more context to show how Withings is reacting to this issue emotionally and stubbornly.

In the Withings Health app you can select which data you want to sync to Google Fit. Sleep data is not in the list. I agree that it could be argued to be false advertising!

As an alternative, I use the Exist app for a year or so now. Withings sleep data is correctly synced to Exist so it is clearly possible to export the sleep data.

Withings has been fully aware of this for many months, and is sort of behaving (emotionally) like that person sitting in the car in the parking lot at the grocery store while you're waiting to take their spot, sitting for another five minutes to make sure everyone knows that Withings Sleeps on its own time.

    Nice analogy :)

This kind of behaviour makes me reluctant to buy any other Withings products. In the long term they are hurting themselves.

After posting here I wrote a review of the Health Mate app on Google Play
"Withings does not support exporting sleep data to Google Fit. This should be implemented asap!"

    The reply I got:
"Hello Thomas, This feature is actually already finished. We just need more time to verify internally that everything is going well. Thanks, from the development team"

A bit more patience I guess, but at least they are working on it! :)

They made that same claim 1/2 year ago, FYI.

In fairness to Withings, Google hadn't created the option to receive sleep data until very recently.  Even in beta, it wasn't that long ago.

But now that the capability is there on Google's side, let's hope it makes it there quickly.

As someone who works in product development, i know from first hand experience that it takes 2 sides to tango with connecting tools and using APIs.

Understood, but you'll see at the top of this thread, that I linked to the API that has steadily existed on the Fit platform since several years ago.  The history is complicated, but not for Withings (no excuse for them):  Fit as an app got downscaled momentarily during a visual redesign, where sleep data wasn't part of the user interface, but it eventually came back (as you note).  Yet other apps were sending data to the Fit servers successfully and continuously (e.g., apps like Sleep as Android), and Withings willfully ignored customer requests before and after the Fit app reboot for syncing, even though advertising the capability as a Withings Sleep product feature.

The solution, unfortunately, is 3rd party. This is odd because the 3rd party is allowed by Withings to be part of their API and platform. For Android I can confirm Health Sync DOES work as a go-between to sync: steps, heart rate, blood pressure, weight, SLEEP, and activities with Google Fit and/or Samsung Health.

Everybody should look at this other thread that Withings shut down, marking it "resolved," claiming (months ago) that a fix was coming soon:  https://support.withings.com/hc/en-us/requests/1166325

They don't want your business. And they don't respect you as a paying customer. By now, it's spite.

I have a pair of Nokia Health Mats. And yes still not syncing with Google Fit. Please fix this. Is there a beta program I can join for Health Mate?

Isn't it funny how after all these months, some mid-level staffer at Withings has managed to emotionally prevent this feature from getting fixed?  Clearly there's demand; obviously there's no obstacle because Health Sync literally works, syncing Withings Sleep data with Google Fit.  All we have here is stubbornness (an emotional resistance by a gigantic, profitable corporation).

Love how when I bought the watch I was really excited to use the sleep program but it didn’t work. So I messaged them and said it is currently being updated and improved and should work within a few weeks. Here I am 5 months later, sleep program doesn’t work, watch doesn’t sync all the data with google fit, they cannot be bothered to respond, and I feel robbed out of  $180.

The latest Beta is supporting sleep sync with Google Fit!
I only just installed it and the toggle is available. Did not see anything from the past showing up in Fit.

Sleepers rejoice! The beta of the Health Mate app does allow exporting of sleep data to Google Fit. I gave it a test last night and it does show up in the Fit app.

@cwinne4103 join the beta in the Play Store for Android. I don't know if Withings got test flight for iOS

The beta doesn't work for my anyway. I got it with the export slider turned. Still no data in Google Fit app.

Indeed, the beta doesn't work.  There's only one claim in the universe so far (rlindberg above) that it works, but here's evidence that it doesn't.  (Sleep data exporting is on and authenticated, but the app hasn't been receiving anything for months.  Yet the update boasts that Withings updated the app for Sleep syncing with Google Fit, out of respect for customer feedback, which is of course nonsense as clearly seen in this long history of inaction.)

There is further evidence on Reddit. But it is not working for me. Why brag about a feature (even in beta) and then don't bother to follow up, Withings?

It has never worked for me either.  I have export weight, heart rate, and sleep; and yet sleep never exports.

You no longer need the beta, the latest Health Mate app for Android now supports exporting sleep:

"-Good news for Google Fit users, your sleep times are now saved on Google Fit."

You may want to open Google Fit app and select 'Manage connected apps' in the settings. Then disconnect/connect the Health Mate app.

Right, rlindberg.  Withings definitely makes that claim, like they did for the Beta app, even though they're dishonest.  We've all tried disconnecting and reconnecting, no difference.  Meantime, the app is totally missing from Google Play:
