The WiFi Body scale can be installed when you connect it from a computer. There is also an app that you need to download and install on your computer for you to get it detected be able to set it up and use it. I found this in the Help Center: https://support.withings.com/hc/en-us/articles/115009772968-Wi-Fi-Body-Scale-WBS01-Installing-my-Wi-Fi-Body-Scale. You can follow the steps provided on the link above and hopefully, you can now use your scale. If you are still getting the same problem, you can always talk to the support team at https://support.withings.com/hc/en-us/requests/new so that they can assist you with it.

I am having this problem even having paired and having the wifi side of the scale connect successfully. This is a different problem.
I suspect it may be an error with the surface of the scale or its ability to weigh, and not its ability to connect to the internet.
On my scale, I hit the power button, then the screen begins to glow, then I get marching dots, and it concludes with this key and random number. I have searched for error codes for this scale, and the numbers it reports are never on the list. They don't begin with 000 like the ones documented. My scale was bought in 2012.

I am afraid that I cannot help, but I am having exactly the same issue, despite again having used the app to set this up again on my computer (which is said to have been successful). After that, standing on the scale produces no response (despite the batteries being fully charged).
Joan - did you ever resolve this?
Any ideas from anyone else?
Any assistance much appreciated!

I did not get any help. I gave up and just assumed it is a bricked device long out of warranty. I think I bought it in 2012, so given the lifespans of consumer devices these days, I guess that's as good as you can expect. When I get around to replacing it, I'm just getting an old fashioned scale without the bells and whistles.

Same issue here - key code, then a check mark, then off. Also bought in 2012, so at least I got a decent amount of use out of it.
