Had been losing time recently. Tried the re-calibrate twice round the dial trick but that didn't do anything . At 14:40 yesterday it died. Had c 100% battery as charged a few days before. Button works fine i.e. not broken. Charger I believe is also fine. Watch unmarked. Placing on charger doesn't do anything. Leaving it to discharge may take many years. Carefully washed in warm soapy water (I think that is so its clean when it goes back).
Really disappointing as loved the watch and its battery life. This seems to be a very common problem with this model - will a replacement be any better. Even if one of these hacks or tricks Withings describe worked would I really want such a flaky watch?

I have been using my Steel HR for a few months now but did not experience any problems with it. You can talk to the support team and I think that will be the best option you can do for now since your watch is still within the warranty period, I think. You can contact them at https://support.withings.com/hc/en-us/requests/new so that they can check your watch.

same problem with me...
they answered the email with a very strange suggestion, after all that 12h charging and 20 sec pressing the button, look that:
"If it does light up when reconnected to the charger, please rinse the watch in warm water for 20 seconds, dry the watch, and then press the button again"
really weird...

My watch was just totally dead one day after seven months. I am pretty sedentary other than a daily walk so I was surprised by the failure. After going back and forth through email and trying a few different things with customer support they finally had me just return the watch. I could tell from the online activity data that the watch had quit synching a few days prior. I'm looking forward to a replacement and trying again. Customer support was good.
