jens.eler it's really weird.
yesterday i received an email from support.
They suggest me to take all the steps i've already done, and, of course it didn't worked.
At the end, look what they wrote :"If it does light up when reconnected to the charger, please rinse the watch in warm water for 20 seconds, dry the watch, and then press the button again"....
Reeeeeeallllyyyyy strange!!!

Hello,
So I put the clock on the charger overnight. This morning I pressed the button, no display, also the hands of the clock remained unchanged.
Then I left the button pressed for 20 seconds, nothing happens no display.Should I really put the watch in warm water? What is that supposed to help?

Guys, probably the best option that worked for all people is simply to wait a day or more for the watch to completely discharge. When they are completely discharged, simply press the button and the message 0% battery lights up. Then charge them and everything works.
My watch started working after one day. -
Same problem since yesterday at 10:45am. Thought that I had drained the battery so set it in the charger when I got home. Since this didn’t wake it up, I submitted an email to customer support but then decided to call since this is my replacement HR Steel and less than 4 months old. After impossibly insane suggestions from Ivan (is the protective plastic on the device?), I asked to speak with a supervisor, which was just as frustrating. Withings really needs to fix this as well as their issues with the watch! This forum extremely helpful and let’s me understand that this may return to normal. I love the style much better than Fitibit or more expensive Apple Watch. Research into the Samsung Galaxy looked hopeful but fear support on my IOS devices may be lacking. Still waiting to hear from Withings Specialist Team for additional review.

About 1-2 weeks ago support contacted me saying they would send me a new USB charger, and that would solve the problem.
It happens that i live in Brazil, and I bought the watch during a trip to Europe. Now they say they can only ship to one European, UK or USA address.
For me it is absurd, given that my watch has stopped working overnight without any misuse and is still under warranty! (like almost all of you here)"At the moment, we do not ship directly to Brazil. I can have it arranged though if you do have a US, UK or any address in Europe. Know that we won't be able to cover the shipping costs or any customs costs if there's any."

The Costumer Service sent to me this email below: Now I am triying this solution.
"Thank you for contacting Withings Customer Support. I am sorry to hear that your Steel HR has stopped working. I'll be glad to assist.
When you press the button, does it feel as though it is 'stuck' or does it move?
Could you please connect the watch to the charger for twelve hours, press the button on the side of the watch, and let me know if it now powers on when the button is pressed?
If the watch does not power on, please put the watch back on the charger and let me know if the screen lights up while it charges. If it does light up when reconnected to the charger, please rinse the watch in warm water for 20 seconds, dry the watch, and then press the button again."
Hope it helps everyone! It is so sad that a new watch face this kind of problem.

Hello. My watch’s screen is totally black, no signs of life. The watch is working ( count steps, activity, vibrates etc). I contact customer support and the send my a new charging cable. I left the watch alone until it fully discharged and then I use the new cable to charge the watch and left it for 12h. Nothing happened the watch charged the arms is moving now but the screen it remains black. It’s very pity because I liked my steel hr. Probably it’s time to move to a better smart watch. Good luck Withings

Carl,
It is a glitch that some how can't be reset. You have to leave it couple of days alone until the battey runs out. At that point you will press the button and a message will appear. Then you can put it to charge and it will go back to normal. It has happened to me twice in a year.
