Withings really need to do something about the material they use on the face. I had the same issue and didnt wear it all the time - mostly within my home due to limited mobility and wanted to be able to take ECG. The warranty reads that scratches and scuffs are not covered in the warranty but if these are on the watch face and it stops you from seeing the dials effectively then they should be.

I returned it within the 30 day return period for a refund. I have bought another as for some reason they seemed unable to provide a replacement within the 30 day return period. I've also bought the Brotech watch face screen protector as advised by another customer here to see if this will work to protect the face from scratches.

Yep.  I tougher crystal should be provided at this price point.  I love the style and appearance of this watch, but it does seem a bit vulnerable.

I complained to Withings about my Move ECG watch last week developed large scratches on the plastic face. I haven't worn it much as I've been immobile with sciatica so it's been face up on the dresser. The small amount of hours that I have worn it, the watch has been covered by my sleeve. I purchased it on the basis of the email offer to try it for 30 days and return it if you don't like it offer. The support response I recieved is below.

Thank you for contacting us. I'm sorry to hear of the scratches that you are experiencing with your Move ECG watch and would like to return it. I am happy to help you.

Please know that the warranty of the Move does not cover physical damage such as scratches. You can find this information on the General Sales Condition in the lower part of the website. Please refer to the link below:

    https://www.withings.com/eu/en/legal/sales-conditions#/eu/en/legal/warranty

While the Move has an acrylic crystal cover, it can still be scratched or broken.

Although this is not covered under warranty, I can offer you a 25% discount, as well as free shipping, on a replacement Move or any other our activity trackers. Let me know if you are interested in this and I can get it set up for you.

    Best regards,

    Mary Customer Service | Withings

Adding to the list of complaints here. I had my Withings Activite for 3 years, and it did sustain minor scuffs. I had the Move for 2 weeks and it already looks worse than 3 years with the Activite. Very disappointing.

Send it back asap within the 30 days and get a refund

Withings t&c's state that warranty doesnt cover scratches / scuffs. I wore mine inside for a few days and it had so many scratches that I couldnt easily see the watch face as the scratches magnified on to it. The face material is not fit for purpose.

You'd be best to wait for the new Scanwatch product which should start shipping in Europe in Sept which has a more robust premium sapphire glass. Sign up for notificaiton and see the spec and video here

    https://www.withings.com/uk/en/scanwatch?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=scanwatch

ScanWatch will be fully available in Europe on withings.com and on all trusted retail partner channels in September 2020 following the return to our normal production capacities.

Even if the glass of the Move ECG is made up of acrylic glass and it can still be scratched or broken. I am using my Move ECG with caution that is why until now there are no scratches on it. Happy with my watch =)
