    Mine was working fine until today when I got on, and got the same results as everyone else: flashing x where the body fat percentage should be, and nothing after the weight.  I've tried removing it from my account, new batteries, feet are not dry, it just stopped working.

    And mine is doing the same. Removed from my account, removed batteries, re-synced body+ scale; no go. Body comp stats aren't being recorded

    I just received my scales last night, and I get the same problem. I thought I must have just been doing something wrong, a bit disappointing to see it might be more than that, especially since this was posted 3 months ago.

    I have this problem as well. The scale worked fine for several years until about a month ago, then suddenly stopped measuring fat. Nothing changed in my use of or care of the scale. I have followed all the advice given by Withings, and the scale still won't measure fat. It doesn't even try - just goes immediately to the 'X'. This is true even with very damp feet. I think it is very bad customer relations to stop responding to the many people that have this problem in spite of following all the Withings advice. Please, this question has NOT been satisfactorily answered! Would whoever is moderating this forum PLEASE respond with a better answer - the previous suggestions do not work.

    @joruttter You should see my mail correspondence with support about this issue, back and forth with what is obviously a auto bot system they've put in place because the don't even know themselves what's wrong with their product. I've given up on withings. Looking to buy a tanita scale soon.

    I ended up getting mine working after emailing Withings support. Turned out to be a problem with the Wi-Fi settings. Might be worth setting that up again for anyone having this problem, if you haven't tried that already.

    I also had the same issue and was able to fix it by moving the scale near my WiFi router and redoing the pairing process (have since repositioned the scale to the original location and it works fine).

    @cc+withings .  What do you mean it was a problem with the Wi-Fi settings? Did Body Fat % not work or was it all measurements didn't transmit over your Wi-Fi? Withings customer service had me go through a lot of steps to confirm Wi-Fi and basic functions. All work except for Body Fat and Body Composition items. Customer service stopped emailing me back about a week ago. I believe they realise that their product is broken and don't want to send me a working one.

    I mean it wouldn't work at all, it was only showing weight and nothing else. Exactly what the first post describes. I think it wouldn't detect a user profile until the Wi-Fi was working.

    PROBLEM SOLVED! (super easy fix , at least for me)

    check on the settings page (from the browser , not from the app)  if the body fat/heart rate measures are flagged on. Go to the "my devices" page , go to "settings" , there in "advanced settings" there is the flag for body fat and hearth rate.

    if you check from the health mate app it seems to be ok , on the app was already flagged on,  but you need to enter the setting page from the whithings website (i did it from a desktop , not mobile). On that setting page the setting was not on.

    Sync the scale and that's it , mine is working now.

    I have the same issue and my feet are not dry.

    I check the Settings from my desktop browser as suggested by lazargavriel but I do not see a setting for Body fat and heart rate. The only option under Advanced settings is Fat Mass and it IS enabled.

    I just spoke to customer support regarding this issue and it is now fixed.  What we did was:

     

    1 - Go to healthmate.withings.com and log in with your account email

    2 - On the left hand side of the page is a dashboard, scroll down to "unassigned measurements"

    3 - Any 'unassigned measurements' will show on the right hand side of the page.. check/tick the measurement (or delete the measurement if you don't want it assigned), and then click 'save' at the top of that list.

    4 - Go back to weigh yourself on the scale, it may sort the issue straight away otherwise repeat up to three times.  This should solve the issue, I only had to repeat it once.

    SOLVED!

    1. Go to healt Mate app dissociate product
    2. Go to withings site. Delete profile.
    3. Delete healt Mate app.
    4. Reset withings+ body scale
    5. Make new gmail account for Health Mate.
    6. Install health Mate app. Customize screen: weight, fat mass, muscle mass, body water, bmi, bone mass. Connect to wifi network with 2,4 GHz. MAKE sure that body withings scale is right beside wifi. Less then 1 meter!
    7. Stand on scale. And if you are lucky it will measure body composition.
    8. If it works--> Go to withings account on PC. Go to advanced settings and make sure that: weight, fat mass, muscle mass, body water, bmi, bone mass is ON. And make sure that EVERYTHING in profile/settings is the SAME in withings site (PC) and Healt mate app. Or it won't measure body composition.

    After somedays it will stop measuring body composition.
    1. Take out 1 battery 10 seconds. And see if the scale work.
    2. Not working? Go Healt Mate app. Try to install wifi on app again.
    3. Not working? Go to withings account on PC. And TURN ON weight, fat mass, muscle mass, body water, bmi, bone mass AGAIN!! Because it will turn off after somedays!! And THAN it won't measure body composition!

    8. Not measuring body composition? Make new account for another person. If it WORKS for that person. Change everything in app and on withings account (PC) to your new profile. Name, weights, settings and so on. And make sure that weight, fat mass, muscle mass, body water, bmi, bone mass is ON withings site in advanced settings. It will only show as a option IF you have measured it on scale in Withings Account on PC.

    This is a extremly unstable product. I have used more than 30 hours figuring this out!

    Withings FIX this problem!!!!
