My weight readings on my Health Mate app were in lbs, but the scale was displaying kgs. I looked online and followed the directions. Kneeling on the floor, I pressed the button on the side of the scale, but this only resulted in resetting the bluetooth connection to my Body Cardio scale. I repeated the attempt ten times with the same result. I then picked up the scale and brought it to the computer, sitting it on my lap, so both the scale and I could understand the instructions. This time, when I pressed the button, the scale displayed the units, and the bluetooth connection remained intact, unmolested. Then I pressed the button to change the units, first from kgs to st lb, which is a measurement with which I am unfamiliar, then to lbs. I pressed the button again, as directed, and the scale then locked in the new units. My scale and my Health Mate app are now in agreement on the display.
Question: Is artificial intelligence of this unit so advanced that it needs to read the same instructions on my computer screen as I am, or was the change dictated by the fact that I had physically picked the scale up and held it in my lap (after verbally threatening it if it did not comply with my demands)?
Question 2: would a different model scale have different operating instructions? I would prefer a more intuitive setup than the one on my scale.
