Problem with removing other account

I have a problem with removing other account associated with my mate. I bought a mate which was in use. When I try to paired my device I get "The device is already linked to another account" so  I don't have any devices in 'my devices" What can I do with it".

    Hi,
    I have the same problem.
    Followed the instructions above but my sleep device does not show in my dashboard.

    Any ideas on how to fix this?

    The proposed solution does not answer this question.  

    We cannot add our device to "my devices", so we cannot dissociate other accounts from there.
