My watch just stopped working this afternoon. There is no power,. The watch was 100% charged a few days ago. I put it on the charger again the afternoon but there are no signs that it is charging. Withings support asked me to charge it for 12 hours and then wash it in warm water and then try to turn on. Did anyone else run into a similar problem,

Thanks for your suggestion. I have just one Steel HR charging cable with special cradel for watch. I got lots of working chargers, so what micro-usb cable should I use that can pug into my watch? I have tried all solutions as recommended on Withings Support FAQs and this Forum - all useless. .

Hi, have same problem. I think it's a general problem. Have had the watch for 2years. Maybe be battery failure, I don't know. Tested 2 different original Cabela's. No one works. It worked yesterday, had 100% charged this morning. A technician at whiting's should look into this, not just customer support. Be Kristian

Withings agreed with me that the issue was a hardware failure and told me to get on to Amazon.co.uk as the watch was within the six months warranty. Amazon.co.uk agreed to give me a full refund. Happy, liked that watch so I am going to get another, maybe a bit more expensive - I never learn!

Same issue here.
Bought my HR steel in May this year.
It’s just stopped at 7:20pm.
72% charged at last sync yesterday.
Draws power on the puck as if it’s charging,
It won’t reset at all under any circumstances.
Really disappointed.
Spent a long tome choosing Withings as I didn’t want an Apple Watch as I didn’t want to have to charge a watch every day!!-----------------------------------------------------------
Emailed support last night - have an auto response saying they will get back to me in 24hrs.

Here is the reply I received from Withings support:
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I am really sorry to hear that your Steel HR Sport has stopped working. I can certainly look into this for you.
I understand that you have tried the recommended troubleshooting steps in FAQs, have charged the watch for over 12 hours, and yet nothing shows on the display. To properly address the issue, when you press the button, does it feel as though it is 'stuck' or does it move?
If the watch does not power on, please put the watch back on the charger and let me know if the screen lights up while it charges. If it does light up when reconnected to the charger, please rinse the watch in warm water for 20 seconds, dry the watch, and then press the button again.
Additionally, could you check the backside of the watch and ensure that the protective film that comes with the watch has been removed? If this is not removed, the watch will not charge properly.
If the film has already been removed, please inspect the charging cable and let me know if you see any damage to it. If there is damage to the cable, please send us a photo of it.
If you do not see any damage to the cable, please try plugging the charger into a different USB port and let me know if it now charges. If available, you can use a 10W power adapter such as those included with tablets such as the iPad.
Ensure that the cable is making proper contact with the watch. The charger is properly making contact when the cable points in the opposite direction as the button on the watch. See below:
You should feel a slight magnetic pull on the back of the charger when contact is made. Additionally, the watch's display should show a battery icon and the battery percentage.
If the watch still does not charge, please clean it with warm, soapy water and then dry it. Make sure that you do not use any other chemicals to clean the watch as it may damage the heart rate sensor. Then, clean the contacts on the charging cable using a cotton swab moistened with rubbing alcohol and dry it.
Reboot the watch by pressing and holding the button on the side for a full 20 seconds. The watch will show 'Hello!' once it has reset.
Connect the charger to the watch as shown above and allow it to charge for a full 12 hours.
If the watch does not power on, press and hold the button on the side of the watch for a full 6 seconds and let me know if it vibrates even if the screen does not light up.
Note: Keep in mind that in cases where the watch battery is very low and it has shown the low battery icon on its display, it may need to charge for at least 30 minutes before it is able to run on its own, otherwise it will power off once it is removed from the charger.
Should you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me as I am happy to help.

I have had the same problem - for the second time in three months. It seems that the watch will suddenly discharge itself for no apparent reason. It then appears to be lifeless and shows no sign of recharging on the cradle. First time I waited 24 hours while it sat in a drawer (as suggested by Withings Support) and then it did recharge and recovered completely. This time I only left it in the drawer for 12 hours and it recovered this morning. My watch is out of warranty (I was an early adopter), but this year is the first time I have experienced these problems. Hopefully someone at Withings is working on a fix.
