Scale Body+: How do you do a factory reset?

    Hello, 

     

    Thank you for posting. If you wish to perform a factory reset on your Body+, please first dissociate your scale from the Bluetooth settings of your phone and Health Mate. Then, click on this article here

     

    If you do not manage to reset your scale, please insert new, non-rechargeable batteries (preferably Energizer or Duracell).

     

    If the situation persists, I suggest you email us directly by clicking here.

    Just press long enough on the bottom button till you see a menu having 2-3 options like: MAC, Reset (I forgot the third)

    In my opinion is more than 3 seconds.

    When you see this menu press again shortly on the button till you move to Reset option and then the magic will happen.

     

    I did this several times and in the past and was working fine so...you have to have patience.

    Hi Enachec!

    I actually tried. I wanted to try again with a new mindset based on your opinion. But now it does not want to start at all. I hope it did not break because of all the tries. All I did was to push the button (long presses, short presses) and take out the battery and put it back again. And now all I get is a black screen. :(

    I would contact support directly - maybe your unit got broken indeed.

    I managed to make the scale work. I think there were some problems with the batteries I used. 

    But I still cannot do a factory reset. And I pressed for 30 seconds or so. Nothing appeared on the screen. I also tried reconnecting with my smartphone. via the app. Nothing happened there either. Could be a problem with the sync button. What do you think?

     

    PS: I have a Body+, not Body Cardio, in case it matters. Related to the video you sent.

    You need to press and hold the button for 8 seconds and once you see the menu, select the reset option by tapping the button until the arrow is on reset.

    Make sure you remove or dissociate the scale from the Bluetooth settings of your phone and app.

    The menu does not appear. Not after 8 seconds, not after 30 seconds. :(

    I am thinking about changing the wifi password to the old one so I can connect the scale to the app. Once there do you think I can change the settings so the scale can connect to the new wifi password?

    You can follow the steps outlined in this link https://support.withings.com/hc/en-us/articles/219053097 to update the Wi-Fi configuration of your scale.

    I have the same problem for two scales..... they do not work anyway.
    Don’t charge don’t reset don’t work !
    Any support ?

    Product was unresponsive. Bluetooth button was working and not working depending on its mood.

    I kinda fixed this by buying another scale from another brand. :|

    Yes I have this same issue. Agreed - no fixes work. There is something physical wrong with the device.

    Agree, same issues and none of the fixes work. Not even possible to factory reset the scale. Just sits there attempting to connect by bluetooth and no amount of removing/replacing batteries or holding buttons down works. Prior to this the scale would randomly change it's unit of measure. We got used to using the app and ignoring the scale readings but then the app stopped updating, none of the "fixes" work which is how I ended up on the factory reset. Which also doesn't work!   0/10 :-(
