Have you tried cleaning the contacts of your charger and rinsing the watch with a warm water? I recommend you try it. If that will not work, you can try to contact them directly at https://tinyurl.com/y3qdxcfg so they can check it.

That links does not lead to anywhere where it is possible to talk to someone working at withings! I've clicked everywhere. I keep getting back to this forum.

I finally found an email form. I had to stop thinking, stop reading and not use logic, just click everywhere to get there.

In case someone else are having the same difficulty as me, here is a quick link: https://support.withings.com/hc/en-us/requests/new#_from_cat_203760868_from_sec_205989107

Just use the dropdowns to change topic, etc.

I followed the advise from other users on forum. The steps are
    1) Take phone OFF from charger and let the battery drain for 24 hours
    2) Press the button and the watch will wake up and have a notice of low battery
    3) Charge the watch
    4) Install the new SW version that just arrived

My watch is now working again.

I assume you mean "take watch OFF from charger ...".

It however does not matter since the watch has 0% battery. It was low when I put it on charger. Since the charger did not charge the battery ran out completely. Without any battery the watch will not respond to anything. The watch has been in the charger for days now and is still dead.

Yes, I mean watch off the charger. I had excatly the same problem as you. I also kept my watch on the charger several days and it was totally dead. Then I found this way to get it working based on several posts from different users. Believe me, take the watch off the charger, let the battery drain completely, check every day pushing the button. It will come back. If you search the word Dead in the forum you will find several threads in this topic. Good luck!
