HealthMate formerly reported "Active Minutes" but when I last checked that statistic had been removed. From best I can tell, Withings products are now simple pedometers and It's a giant step backwards.

In the technical specs, it is written "Subdial displays progress toward daily activity goal in percentage"

As it is a pedometer it is misleading and useless. Unless the only activity in your day is the walk.

If in the past it was ""Active Minutes" we need it back.

The beauty of this watch is to provide a good looking and to provide at a glance only relevant information, the time and , my initial undestanding, the activity.
If it is only to have the time, I don't see the point.

hi, i'd like to add to this: I'd also love an option to display my Activities on the Dashboard, where there is also BP, weight, etc. And then to have the option to display, in a graph:

    - nr of times you did an activity (eg fitness) per week

    - total nr of calories spent that week

    - total nr of calories spent on average per activity that week

    - time spent on the activity that week

    - time spent on the activity on average per activity that week

    - nr of kms run/biked/rowed etc that week

    - nr of kms run/biked/rowed etc on average per activity that week

etc i'm sure we can think of more

I strongly agree that goal tracking should be based on Active Minutes, as described by World Health Organization and American Heart Association.  I don't care at all about how many steps I take each day - just as long as I get my 150 minutes of exercise done each week.

I really like the features and style of the new ScanWatch and I would love to move from Garmin to Withings.  The only thing that makes me hesitate is this lack of modern metrics.  I don't need it on the watch - just in the app.  The watch subdial can still be steps, but please tell me you're going to add Active Minutes tracking in the app and I will buy a ScanWatch, scale, and blood pressure monitor!

    Thank you!

I've missed this post, but it is closely related to mine:

Polar devices "translate" various activities into daily activity goal and it works BEST. Pedometer itself is useless when you do other activities daily. You could take just 1000 steps but have 40 km cycling and that would be at least 100% activity for most people. Unfortunately in this case Withings will show you just 10%...

In fact Polar goes even further and shows you what you should do to achieve your goal - how long should you run, walk or cycle. All whithings have to do is to recalculate already measured (but independently from steps) activities into whole day activity. If someone for some strange reason would prefere old approach - there could be option in app settings to count just steps...
