It seems that the one thing I didn't research before committing, was whether and how to use the Withings Steel hr sport so as to see hr data during exercise in other exercise apps. I have been using one that I'm rather fond of (myWorkouts, if it matters) and it works with ant+ and bluetooth LE heart rate sensors, but can't seem to find the watch at all. The more I read, the more confused and puzzled I am. I need to see my current heart rate while exercising. The health mate app gives me hr, speed, distance, and duration. But, I want that over a map showing my location, during my ride. I could do that with my old clunky garmin, so it amazes me that I can't figure out how to accomplish that with my spiffy new watch. I no longer use strava or mapmyride, but would, if either worked and I had no other option. But, it seems that heart rate data isn't even shared with these apps, even though they are supposedly partner apps? Seriously? Am I missing something?
Has anyone figure out how to make this function so as to be a genuinely useful sport hr monitor?
