Health Mate stopped syncing with Google fit

I sync my Fitbit to Google fit and then health matter pulls the steps in from Google fit. This has been working flawlessly for a number of years but stopped yesterday. I've not changed anything and the app says it last synced at a recent time but I see no steps at all. Can someone help please? I've tried setting them up on an old phone from scratch too but no luck
