Health Mate - tapping Activate for Google Fit does nothing

Health Mate stopped syncing to Google Fit, so disconnected Google Fit, signed out of Health Mate, made sure Health Mate was no longer in Connected Apps in Google Fit, cleared storage for Health Mate, and signed back in to Health Mate. Now, when I tap Activate to sync to Google Fit, nothing happens. I repeated the process several times, but the link to Google Fit will simply not do anything. I'm on a Pixel 6 Pro. I had varying success getting Health Mate to sync on previous devices. Any suggestions beyond what I've already tried?

Same problem here!
Tried reinstalling both apps, clearing caches, restarting the phone. The only thing I haven't tried is using my old phone to do it!
The quality of the wearables has increased, but the software is getting more and more sloppy. I had to manually track the activity on phone and then activate the Steel HR to get all the data, otherwise, I had either heart rate but no distance/GPS, or vice-versa!
