I've been using my ScanWatch continuously for 12 months and i really liked it but noticed that the back had come loose and was almost off. The watch was otherwise in perfect condition and I'd had little trouble with it. However, on contacting Withings Customer service on 28/3 I encountered a problem.
After sending photos and proof of purchase (order placed via Amazon on 13/3/21), the Withings Customer Service person admitted that it was a hardware issue but said the warranty had ended (I was pretty sure the website said the warranty was 2 years).
So, they then offered me 25% discount for a new watch with free shipping, BUT (and this is where the catch 22 comes in)
"However, since you are in Australia you will not be able to place an order as we only ship to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe". They further advised that, "if you have a friend or family member in any of the areas to which we ship, I can provide you the discount coupon and have them place your order and after it arrived you can ask them to send it to you".
Not having anyone i could ask in any of those areas and thinking that I'd gone as far as I could with Customer Service, I contacted Amazon for their help and they issued a refund with no fuss at all.
I'm going back to my Apple Watch!
