I purchased this watch specifically to track my general movement and I'm getting results that are so incredibly far under why my actual steps are that the product is rendered useless. At best my watch has recorded 30% of my steps. This weekend after 3 hours of playing with my 2 year old it said I had taken 139 steps, my Oura ring had me at well over 1000 steps and my phone, which was only in my pocket for less than half that time, had registered over 700 steps. I understand that not all my steps will be tracked when doing smaller movements like playing with a 2-year-old so I decided to try counting the steps I took. After 200 steps I looked at my watch and it had registered less than 20 of them. This is unacceptable as every single other device I have ever used has been within about 10 steps when I do this test.
I have looked through the forum and found nothing but insufficient answers. My watch is worn appropriately tight, using the provided silicone band I have even tried wearing it tighter and looser with the same results. After reading one suggestion confirmed that my height is accurately reflected in my profile. I swing my arms when I walk. If you can't get the step counter to work even remotely accurately, this watch is a complete waste of $200.
