How accurate is the detection of breathing disturbances?
A study has been supervised by the sleep lab at Paris-Béclère hospital and led by Pr. Escourrou, a French sleep doctor. We analyzed the breathing patterns in a clinical dataset of hundreds of hours of sleep, using both the gold standard for sleep tracking (PSG) and Sleep, in order to develop an accurate algorithm.
How close are you to being able to detect sleep apnea?
We are currently working on an algorithm to specifically detect sleep apnea. The accuracy of Sleep in tracking vital signs is very encouraging in that sense, and we are working towards FDA and CE medical certifications to make sleep apnea diagnoses possible.
