This article will assist you if you'd to log in to Health Mate using two-factor authenticator (2FA).
New to Withings? Welcome!
As you might already know, in order to use our products you must download the Health Mate app and create an account.
(Note that you don’t necessarily need a Withings product to use our app)
Because we value privacy and security, we now give all our new users the opportunity to use two-factor authentication (2FA) every time they log in.
2FA is a security process which requires two distinct codes to authorize the login to an account. Typically, when logging into Health Mate you will first be asked for the passcode that was sent to you by email then for a security code that was sent to your phone.
If you don't already have an account, please follow these steps to create one:
- Download the Health Mate app (available on Google Play Store).
- Open the Health Mate app.
- Enter your email address.
- Check your inbox for the confirmation code that was sent to you.
- Enter the code you’ve been provided to confirm your email.
- Fill in your user details.
- Choose to activate 2FA.
Note: You can skip this step and come back to it later if you prefer.
- Enter your phone number.
- Tap to continue and you’re all set!
Note: 2FA is not available for the other Withings apps (Thermo, WithBaby, Withings Home Security Camera, WiScale). You will have to disable 2FA in order to access your account from those apps.
