Disclaimer: The data generated by the Withings Hypertension Notification is intended for informational use only. It is not intended to replace traditional methods of diagnosis, to monitor hypertension treatment effect, or to be used as a method of blood pressure surveillance. It is not intended for use during pregnancy. The absence of a notification does not indicate the absence of hypertension. This feature does not provide a blood pressure reading as the supported devices do not measure blood pressure.
Warning: DO NOT use this feature if you have a cardiac pacemaker, implantable cardiac-defibrillator, other implanted electronic device or while pregnant. This notification does not indicate a medical emergency.
Not Receiving Notifications
Not receiving these notifications is normal, as this feature does not send notifications without having collected enough relevant data, which can take several consistent weigh-ins to gather. You will only receive these alerts if the data detects signs of Hypertension, so it may seem like you never or rarely see them.
In order to properly identify the issue, please ensure you meet the elligibility requirments:
- You're at least 18 years old.
- You're not pregnant.
- You do not have a pacemaker or other electronic implant.
- You have not been previously disgnosed with Hypertension.
If you are elligible, and still not receiving them, please contact us using the button below.
Received a Notification unexpectedly (false positive)
If you received a Hypertension notification without warning, please follow these steps:
Open your Withings App
Select your devices in the upper-right.
Find your compatible device.
Scroll down until you find 'Discover'
Check to see if the Hypertension Tutorial has a green check mark over it:
If the green check mark is present, then this means you have received a valid Hyptertension notification and should follow the instructions on the notification.
If it is not preset, we recommend you contact us using the button below.
The Notification Seems Inconsistent
If the Hypertension notification seems inconsistent, and you have activated the notification, this is likely normal behavior. Since the Hypertension notification is based on data collected over a period of several weigh-ins, it is not something that you should expect to appear at every weigh-in, and does not indicate a medical emergency.
