Cartridge renewal
Your U-Scan Cartridge contains 22 tests before it needs to be replaced. When you first buy set up your U-Scan and install your Cartridge, you will select the number of measurements you want to take weekly (from 2 to 7). This choice determines how often your Cartridge is renewed: if there are more measurements per week, then your Cartridge will be renewed more frequently.
A few key things to understand:
- Renewal happens automatically based on your selected frequency.
- You’ll receive a notification when a new Cartridge is shipped.
- You will only be billed once one or more Cartridges are shipped, depending on your renewal plan.
Regarding the lifespan of Cartridges:
- When a Cartridge is opened and exposed to air, the test strips inside will expire after 3 months. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you install your Cartridge immediately after opening it.
- The test strips inside a sealed Cartridge package will last 15 months before they expire.
Measurement errors and used test strips
If you experience a measurement error and lose a test strip in the process, please follow the steps in our dedicated article. Once our Support can confirm the test strip was used, we will be able to offer you a partial refund for the cost of the strip which will be applied to your next Subscription payment.
