What is the Health+ service? Is Health+ intending to replace the current Withings / Health Mate app?
Health+ is a subscription service that utilizes a series of behavior change and health improvement modules (also known as Habit Builders) integrated into the Health Mate app to expand the depth of your wellness journey. By subscribing to Health+, users will unlock a dedicated tab where they will be able to choose Habit Builders and track the progress of their journey over a period of six weeks. Health+ will add to your existing data and information provided by Health Mate with proprietary metrics, novel insights, and the aforementioned behavior change programming designed to improve diet, activity, sleep, and stress management.

What are Habit Builders?
Habit Builders are behavior change and health improvement modules focusing on one habit formation at a time, addressing sleep, activity, nutrition, or stress management. From a library of several Habit Builders, users will select which habit they want to form according to their own health objectives. Over the course of a 6-week period, users will be guided with daily missions (articles to read, workouts to do, recipes to prepare, measurement guidance, and mood logging) in order to achieve their goal.
Health+ Habit Builder modules have been developed by an experienced team comprised of Boston-based doctors and public health professionals with expertise in behavior change, as well as the knowledge and guidance of the Germany-based company 8Fit (acquired by Withings in early 2022) who specialize in curated, easy-to-follow fitness and nutrition plans to help build health routines.
Will the number of Health+ programs evolve over time to address a larger audience with specific needs / objectives?
Yes, indeed! Withings teams will continue to develop new programs to take into account a larger audience with various needs and objectives to accompany them on their health journey.
What are a couple of examples of Habit Builders that Health+ offers? What are the actual tips and strategies given in the modules?
Upon launch, there will be five 6-week health improvement modules that will focus on three essential categories (nutrition, activity, and sleep):
Activity: Incorporate fitness into your everyday life, with high-intensity interval training (HIIT), as well as recovery exercises like stretching, yoga, or walking.
Nutrition: Get guided through the basics of nutrition, and learn how to make smart choices while boosting your energy levels with the right foods.
Sleep management: Learn more about what good sleep habits are and how to build them. Find out what impacts your sleep quality and how you can improve it in order to wake up feeling healthier.
New behavior change and health improvement modules will be released on a regular basis, so that users will always have fresh ones available. We will also introduce a stress management and mental health focus section, as one of our goals with Health+ is to address mental health and the effects of stress on your wellbeing.
Examples include: advice on how to increase lean protein and fiber, how to make your diet more heart healthy, how to improve your fitness and strength, and how to sleep more soundly (to name a few). The content is delivered through articles, tips (to be released shortly after launch), exercise and yoga videos, and healthy recipes with nutritional information.
How do the proprietary Health+ metrics (such as the new ones introduced with the Body Comp scale and Body Scan health station) fit in with the behavior change programs?
Visceral fat, Electrodermal Activity Score (EDA), and Vascular Age can all be improved with lifestyle changes. Health+ will suggest specific activities designed to improve these metrics, as well as the user’s general health, in a series of easy-to-follow modules.
How can Health+ modules around sleep be effective if Body Comp or Body Scan does not measure sleep?
One of the features unlocked with Health+ is Sleep Logging. Users will be able to manually log how long they have slept and how they are feeling after a night. Users who are already tracking their sleep with a Withings device or another connected device compatible with Health Mate will have their sleep data computed and analyzed by Health+ to show progress.
Are the features/measurements of Body Comp or Body Scan independent of Health+? If not, which features/measurements are only available with Health+?
If Body Comp or Body Scan is not used with a Health+ subscription, the Electrodermal Activity Score, Vascular Age and Standing Heart Rate feature will still be available for use. However, without the paid subscription, users will no longer have access to the in-app benefits of Health+ including Habit Builders, workouts, articles, and daily missions.
Will Health+ be available for current users? Will it be compatible with other devices besides the Body Comp and Body Scan?
At launch, Health+ will only be available for people purchasing Body Comp. Health+ will also be compatible with the new Body Scan smart scale. Beyond that, we will roll out Health+ to be compatible with other Withings products. We will continue to provide updates as they come.
What happens after the year’s subscription included with the Body Comp | Health+ bundle ends? How much will it be?
We will offer users who purchased the Body Comp | Health+ bundle the choice to continue accessing all of the features at a monthly rate of €9.95 / $9.95 per month or a yearly rate of €99.50 / $99.50 per year.

How can I manage my Health+ subscription? Can I cancel my subscription if I’m no longer interested in the Health+ offer?
You can cancel your Health+ subscription at any time, and you will continue to have access to the service through the end of your billing period. Payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial subscription periods or unused services. Note that you won’t be charged if you unsubscribe before the end of your 3 months trial period.
To cancel, go to the subscription management webpage available at https://healthmate.withings.com and follow the instructions for cancellation. If you decide to cancel your subscription, the Health+ service will be discontinued with all included features on the date your subscription ends. Your devices and all their features will continue to function normally.
