    UPDATE: February 3

    Hello everybody,

As you might have noticed, the form is now closed. Our development team is working on the new weight graphs. We are confident that they will satisfy both the users who like the new graphs and those who don't. The new design will be available in our next major update (Health Mate 5.14).

    Have a nice day,

    Armelle, Withings Customer Service

    UPDATE: January 5

    Dear everyone,

Our app team is working on the next Health Mate update. To make sure you will all be happy with it, they have created this feedback form. Don't hesitate to fill it and share your feedback!

    Have a nice day,

    Armelle, Withings Customer Service

    UPDATE: December 22

    Dear all,

Following the multiples comments we received on the new weight and body composition experience, and after a lot of discussions with our app teams, I am updating this thread to give you more information.

We understand that some of you are unhappy with the new design of the graphs, and more specifically with the averages. As you know, Withings is constantly innovating in terms of health devices and apps, and aspires to help its customers achieve their goals in a clear and healthy way. Since it is entirely normal for someone’s weight to fluctuate a bit, we decided to replace the raw data with averages, so we could enhance clarity and focus on what really matters: the overall trend.

This new design was well-received by our community of beta testers. We are aware, however, that our customers are many and varied, and we thank you all for that. We do believe that every health journey is unique and that our experience should also be tailored for those who want to view their data at a granular level. This is why we are working hard on new tools that will provide more advanced data exploration than ever before.

On a short-term level, we also wanted to let you know that, following your feedback, we will add two features to our next Health Mate release: we will include a numerical trend on your graphs to see your weight progress and, for our Android users, we will also bring back the pinch-zoom in and out.

We hope that we were able to answer all your questions and requests. Thank you very much for taking the time to share detailed feedback with us. We will continue to work hard so we can help you reach your health goals.

Furthermore, please know that we are always happy to increase our community of beta testers. We would be glad to have you join the project and help us build our next features. If you are on iOS, you can join us by clicking here. For our Android users, the number of testers is limited but don't hesitate to regularly visit the Play Store to see if a slot becomes available.

Have a lovely day and merry Christmas,

    Armelle, Withings Customer Service

Hi Armelle when will the deactivate the automatic detection be available for Android users. Plus can they correct the font size for the heading as they are over sized and are in Bold in appearance.its not the correct design language, which had a more softer appeal.

    With the upgrade to v5.13
all my the data become useless, since they decided to invent a term “stable weight” which is some sort of average of your daily data. You cant see your individual measurements on the graph anymorr. All you can ser is their invented “stable weight” number.

I just installed this "update" and it is awful, how can I revert to the previous version?

[Edit: I found the 5.12.1 apk on https://www.apkmirror.com/ and managed to revert so all good for now!]

I've lost the ability to pinch-zoom on my weight graph, the trend-line has also gone.

If I'm viewing "All" data and switch to "Week" it takes me back to 2020, WTF? So I have to swipe forward 100 weeks to getto the present?

Body composition graphs have also been broken. Everything looks like a flat line, you can't see any trends.

Overall the app is now pretty well useless, please revert this one!

Where do I see how much weight I've lost (or gained) as a total for the "year" or for "all" ?  It used to be right under the heading?!?  I literally cannot locate how much weight I've lost for the year.    So far, I am not impressed with this update.

I have to echo everyone here. The changes have made my scale useless. Please bring back the full, unmodified statistics that were available prior to this update.

Absolutely rubbish update. Agree with what everyone else is saying - graphs are useless, data gone, stupid ‘gained weight’ icons completely demoralising if you check weight every day, displaying fat or muscle under weight in the timeline is horrible as doubles the space needed for every entry so you can’t quickly flick back to see progress made in last fortnight, no target weight line, no ability to customise what you see. I hate it! Bring back the previous version!

This is a truly disastrous update for those using the weighing scales.

The new indicator of stable weight etc instead of giving the user the actual specific gain or loss in weight that month etc is a truly awful design decision. Even if there is a 0.2kg loss or gain, users want to know these details (this is WHY they bought a scale). Small losses can be motivating, just as small gains make you more motivated to monitor diet intake. Loss of the trend line is also really disappointing.

At least offer users Actual weight changes if they want instead of a dumb stable / increase / decrease in weight etc

For those like me who have YEARS of weight data from Withings scales, I can no longer easily see where & by how much I lost weight. This is where trend line and weight changes per month or year made such a difference. For instance maybe you tried a running programme or a new medication was introduced… weight changes are sometimes slow but in my case, I was able to see a clear correlation from reviewing 6 months ago when there was a period of 2 months of weight changes due to an intervention. Trends and seeing the weight lost / gained each month was super valuable.

The update truly seems like a step back. I’ve bought about 6 scales from Withings incl for family members and all are disappointed with this update. I love Withings but with each release they come across as more focused on their hardware than the software.

This update is a disgrace. I have used this app daily since 2017 and have loved being able to look at my data with the trend lines, the goal weight line and easily being able to zoom in and out. In the previous version I could see trends per year, month and week easily by zooming in and out and "scrolling " side to side. The new version has taken all of that away. I truly don't see the point of this update. I find the app in its current format useless. Please revert back to previous design.

first time posting here, but agree with all the other comments - this update has completely broken the way I use the app (on iOS)

    • First, I can no longer resize the weight graph which makes it harder to visualise trends (I used to enlarge it so it filled my phone screen)
    • Second, the y-axis is utterly useless, when I switch to ‘all’ (for me 2015-2022) the y-axis defaults to 0-204kg, a massive amount of padding on either side that I can’t adjust, and again it masks longer term trends
    • Finally, if I set it to show ‘monthly’ data I can’t smoothly scroll between months, I have to jump from one month to the next (same for weekly or quarterly). All that the option should change is the interval on the x-axis, it’s the 10th of december now, if I want to see how my weight has changed in the past month I’d like to see the interval Nov 10 - Dec 10, not Dec 1 - Dec 10, I can’t do this

I echo all the other sentiments too, a trend line is essential as individual weight measurements can be incredibly variable, it’s important to highlight average changes in some form or another. The stable weight metric is also opaque and inaccurate, I want to see how much I’ve lost, it’s not only motivating but also important, as I need to monitor weight changes for health reasons

Everything about this update is terrible, roll it back and get rid of whoever pitched it as they clearly have a very poor understanding of how your products are used (or even basic usability).

I was so satisfied with the engineering of my four different WITHINGS products, but today I felt the urge to find out if there is any feedback channel here! The new version sucks, and the reasons have already been highlighted in this Forum.

I hope you reinstall the previous version and try to improve the data visualization capabilities for blood pressure and temperature. Seeing these in parallel with your weight and composition would be great.

In addition, you should know that even the previous APIs gave wrong interpretations of weight and composition data. It is like having no decent data scientists and a machine learning team.

I hope you improve; until then, please don't screw up the desktop API. I can at least use that for now!

The new weight graph is a complete failure.
I require you to release an update within 7 days reverting to the original detailed weight graph.
If this is not done I want a complete refund for my Body+ sales as well as compensation for the time wasted to date searching the forums and settings try to rectify the issue.

I will be contacting the support team on Monday. Please advise of the best contact number and the person who project managed Update 5.13

I usually don't mind updates and always try to be open to upgrades and new interfaces. Sadly, this one was too much. Like many who commented here, the new weight graph is just turn very useless and hard to use. It feels like a downgrade and we get less informations. I don't want to repeat again everything that have been said above me. I will just add that I agree with them all. The weight graph was what made the app better than any other app I had.

I will have to find my way to revert version because I won't have any need for the app anymore. It would be a shame since I've been using it since 2017.

Hello Armelle, I won't be as negative or harsh as some above, but I don't like the new curve plot either. Until now the most zoomed mode showed all the data, and this is no longer the case: the daily averages in the weekly view are of little use in my opinion.
=> Why not let the user choose the level of averaging independently of the absissa scale? (up to using vertical bars for long period graphs).  At the very least, it seems essential to cancel this modification which prevents you from seeing curves with all the data!!

I agree with the majority of the comments above. The new app interface is a big step backwards in providing useful and detailed data. Checking trends against lifestyle changes or exercise programs is now impossible. All of my historical data is effectively lost to me, which is very disturbing. Why not let users choose how they see their data. The app designers obviously have not used the product or they would never have concluded that the new update is a good thing. Please listen to your paying customers and bring back the last app version!

Hi is any one seeing the increase in the Font Size looks like they have double in size. Mane heading and all sub headings awful, just not appealing any more there are bold and over power the UI design, they need a tone down and a soft look as before 5.12.1
    Regards 🙁

Agree with all of the above!  Have been collecting DAILY weight measurements since 2012 - where have they gone? I exported my data so I can use it in Excel now that it is impossible to see in the app. How disappointing!  Why did you dumb it down?  I liked to see all the measurements and the trend line going back to when I started, at whatever date range I was interested in.

Seriously, why destroy something that so many of us relied upon?  So frustrating!

Would not normally post feedback on an app update, but feel the need to add my voice to number above to agree that the new user interface and graphs for tracking weight measurements is a huge step backwards. Please bring back the previous charts and explore with users what changes are needed (if any). It’s clear from the comments that the level of detail was as important to others as it was for me.
At the risk of sounding dramatic, I’ve gone from an advocate of the product to not being able to recommend it overnight.

I second all of the comments here about the update making the health app nearly useless! Please revert back to the old functionality, or let us make the decision to. The old tools were extremely useful (especially the moving trend line that's now only on the website) and this new version doesn't add anything in return for removing that tool.

Why? I have never posted and never ever ever been so disappointed in any app update ever. The graphs (the most useful part of the app) are absolutely destroyed. I've sideloaded the previous version on my Android, but if this version ever breaks, I will have to sell my Withings devices after about a decade of loyal usage. All this after having convinced many friends to purchase.

I can't fathom a decision like this. I never post in comments sections but this is tragic to me. This was my lifeline and motivation to be healthy, and it's ruined. The graph granularity is gone, the pinch zoom is gone, the individual data points and trend lines are gone. I'm looking for alternative products, any recommendations? After nearly ten years of adoring these products, through the Nokia acquisition and after, and now this? Why? I just don't understand? I'm not optimistic this change will be reverted. When companies spend this much time overhauling something like this, they can't go back. Was it license fees on a third party graphing library becoming too expensive? I assure you, whatever Withings were paying was worth it. Is there no User Acceptance Testing? I can't imagine anyone ever preferring this. What in the world happened? I understand you're collecting feedback but can Withings explain what happened here? Even in the extreme off-chance the changes are reverted, my trust has plummeted. Please, why did this happen?
