EDIT 21/11/2024: Disabling the vibration on your Body Scan is now possible. Check out the instructions in this Help Center article.
Hello @mail,
Thank you for posting. For now, the option to disable the vibration on Body Scan is yet to be available. Not to worry as I'm happy to share your idea with our developers for consideration,
I wish you well,
Toni, Withings Customer Service
I also need to disable this vibration feature. I have a very angry wife every morning when this wakes her up, not a good start to my day!

I agree, we definitely need to be able to turn off vibration to avoid waking the rest of the family every morning.

I agree also an agry wife or husband in the morning who unnecessarily wakes up by the vibration.

As I bought this scale and wanted to return it, because of vibration, it was promised to solve the problem as soon as possible. After more than half a year there is still no solution. It is realy disappointing.

Just like when it comes to similar topics, i.e. gesture navigation vs button navigation debate, on all of the smartphones that came out in the last 4 years, I do agree that users DO need to have a choice.
I love Withings for the beautiful product design and therefore I have what I call the whole Withings ecosystem, consisting of all 5 current flagships, however, I believe that even despite such good design decisions, it is a bad practice to make such design choices forced, potentially maybe even unexpected for some of the new customers?
I stand by my words, that, whenever possible, user freedom and choice must always come first!

I agree, this is a huge problem. Being a light sleeper the vibration cancels 1/8 of my nights sleep time.
We are four in the family, all with different wake up schedules.
I am considering returning the scale.
A commitment from Withings on adding option to disable vibration is needed.

We Purchased the Body Scan on US launch day (9/26) and the sound from the vibration is the absolute worst. There must be an option to disable it. It's so loud that it wakes other people in the house.
Please add an option to disable the vibration motor before this awesome scale is no longer used in our house. 🙏

I also purchased the body scan on launch day 9/26/23 and my wife is not happy about the vibration that wakes her up each morning. Love the scale features, but an option to disable the vibration is definitely needed.

Another vote to disable the vibration. I may need to return the scale. I weight myself before my wife gets up.

I too looked on how to disable the vibration (unsuccessfully). It is extremely annoying especially since it does it several times during each use (on a hardwood floor so it can be heard throughout the house fairly well early in the morning).

The firmware 2691 is available, but the vibration still cannot be turned off. When will this be possible?

For the love of God, let us disable the vibration! This wakes up everyone in the house!

It's time, let's get this added guys!

As Withings ignores us for a long time. I would give a last chanche to fix it or tell the exact date when it should be done. Should nothing happens in one month, I would to live an appropriate review on trustpilot. https://de.trustpilot.com/review/www.withings.com

I had a Body Scan for approximately a month. I immediately noticed all the issues with the scale and its interface with the app and had contacted Withings. They provided answers to my questions (can not disable vibration, no way to get historical segmental data, no way to not have each measurement take 90 seconds) and thought that providing answers was all they needed to do. I asked for an RMA and they pushed it off over and over again claiming that they answered my questions and didn't see a need to return the scale. I offered to be a beta tester for them but expected a refund on the $400 scale - they didn't take me up on that. Eventually, after several threats to go through my credit card company, they provided a RMA and return label. The scale was sent back today - problem solved, vibration disabled!
Back to using my reliable Body+ scale that gives me all the data I need in 5 seconds without vibrations.
The Body Scan was nice but had way to many half-baked features. There should be a way to get a quick reading of weight, segmental body fat, water and other easy things 90% of the time and a more substantial reading once a week. They need historical segmental data - everything else is historical, why not segmental data. I don't need an ECG every time I weigh myself - cool, yes, but don't need it every time. And, yes, need to be able to control the vibrations - I counted 5 vibrations that could be heard throughout my house - crazy!
But to respond to the post. I figured out how to disable the vibration! Return the scale and wait for a version 2 or 3 when the half-baked features are fully baked. Withings, if you are listening, still willing to be a beta tester but not for $400.

Otherwise very happy, but I hate the vibrations. I also lost some of my data, when I was resetting my app as the Withings customer service adviced

As this trend continues I would like to see the vibration turned off as well. Thank you

+1 for option to disable vibration

Why is this marked as completed when you still can’t disable vibration? I’m going to also have to send the scale back as the vibration wakes up the others.

Hi,
I remove the vibration chip, what a pleasure now to weight myself in a peaceful room!!!
Hi Antonette and Toni from Withings customer support, I am amazed to read that this big issue is marked as Resolved post !!!
I think that it is not a professional approach to ignore customer complains or even worse when 9 months ago you mentioned "Not to worry as I'm happy to share your idea with our developers for consideration" ... and not giving feed back.
Can you reply to all of us in a clear statement on: will Withings allow the user to disable the vibration?
If the answer is No, I will remove this piece of f.. hardware.
Best regards,
Gaetano

+1 on this topic, there should be an option to disable vibration - it prevents me using the scale at the most natural time (when I get out of bed the morning) because it wakes my wife up every time. What is the purpose of the vibration anyway? Seems totally surplus to requirement

Just had my wife complain about the loud vibration. Please offer a fix so this can be turned off. Love the product otherwise

It’s very disappointing to have a luxury scale which we can’t disable a such basic and annoying vibration.
Hopping to have this feature available ASAP!

Adding my request for this feature. The vibration is very annoying and unnecessary. Please let us turn it off with a software update!

Another vote to allow vibration as a user configurable setting. This should be a really simple code change that can be done in firmware.
Support ticket raised as believe my scale is faulty in other ways too.

This comment has nothing to do with the above. The website of Withings is terrible in finding the Support Service. The telephone number is not visible, the live chat does not work. Nowhere to find at the bottom of the website a clear link to support info. Sending an email is not possible when one has a device that is already years old and of which one does not know its serial number.
I want to buy a wristband for my PULSE HR. In the list of wristbands on the website PULSE HR is not mentioned. Why is there no clear information about this on the website. If someone from Withings is reading this I would like a respons.

Very nice Withings-product, as always. But the vibration is really annoying, even to me (already awake). Please add choice to turn it off.
