I am having the exact same issue. I got this watch just about 1 year ago and I love it. I would be very disappointed if it stopped working already. Any tips on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Hi Withings, the problem is the same on my scanwatch. I agree with other persons, how can we solve the issue? Is there a local support for the hardware in Italy or Europe that can repair the watch?

    Please let me know quickly.

    Best regards

    Sergio

My withingsapp was always complaining that I accidently was pressing the button (but I actually didn't) , and now I have humidity under the front glass. Support told me there are some issues with the button of the scanwatch.
I had the withings move before for 4 years, also with a button, and never had any issues. So I think something is wrong with the technical design of the scanwatch 1st gen, I hope this is solved in the 2nd gen.

Technical Support of Withings (Win) help me to fix push button not working issue. Please see his instruction below to fix my watch issue.

(19:55:57) Win: Great. Could you please rinse the watch in warm water for 20 seconds, dry the watch, and then press the button again?
(19:56:25) I ask: is it water resistance?
(19:57:02) Win: Yes. It is water-resistant. However, please do not press the button while rinsing it. You can press the button after drying it.

I'm experiencing the same. I have tried rinsing the watch, but still suffering from the same issue.
Mine also allows me to "wheel" through the options if it is plugged in to charge, but can not select anything in menus as the button does not activiate anything when depressed

I am having a similar issue as my with my Scanwatch the side button works intermittently but the majority of the time it doesn’t work.
I sent a message to customer support several months ago and never received a response. I purchased it in February 2022. Please address this issue before the warranty is up!

I have the same issue - after 6 months from purchase.  The button also seems to move about, look crooked.  And then uses up battery really quickly.

I have written to customer service and been told that if the button is damaged I have to buy a new one, it is not covered on guarantee.

But how do you 'break' a button?  I have had no response to that.  No looking into what could be happening.  And when I read all of these comments I realise I am not alone.

Does anyone know why, even this is on the withings site, no one from Withings responds to this?

I have used Withings for years now - and have multiple devices. But I am SO disappointed with their handling of this issue.

I would love to know how to get some service on this issue.  Does anyone know?

Same issue here - Scanwatch 2 38mm purchased in October 2023. Tried to send an email via the online form but doesn't seem to work (press send and nothing happens). Does anyone have an alternate contact method?

It would be great if you all could talk to customer service.  I have had my watch for 6 months and I have the same issues as all above - says I am pushing it too often, drains the battery, buzzes without message.

    Try this email

    contact-sup@withings.com

I have been 'arguing' with them for ages now - as they informed me that if the 'button isn't working this isn't under guarantee'.

Clearly there IS an issue with the button.

I think since Withings changed hands the customer service support has disappeared.  The agents behind this email are lovely and try to be helpful, but the reality is there is no support.  And clearly there is a design fault in this new model.

@Susa H - I just found the Support Chat function and the agent was really good. Problem not fixed but has been escalated to a senior support engineer so will keep you posted

I am having the same issue with my ScanWatch (first generation). I can get the display to activate with the 'quick look' functionality, and can navigate with a spin of the button, but pressing does not work, so I cannot activate any of the tracking/testing/clock features.

I have the same issue with a 38mm Scan Watch purchased in July 2022. I have tried to chat with support but they could not provide a resolution, now when I go back to chat, I get no response from anyone. The chat window just hangs open with only my input. This has been a problem for me for about 6-8 months. I have tried resetting and changing different settings to see if anything works but it does not.

@Tammy I found support to be helpful. My watch was out of warranty (3 years old) but they did offer me a 25% discount on a replacement. Yours should still be under warranty, good luck!

@Jonathan G I was persistent and kept trying to get through to chat support. Someone answered tonight and I already have my return label printed. Thanks for giving me hope.

Have had intermittent problem with button for several months. It now refuses to engage activity.
Did ecg in morning. Worked ok but later refused to engage ecg or any other activity. Have tried rinsing in warm water and also placed on charger but still not working. Watch is 3 years old. Located in Australia.

My watch was purchased in aug 2022. I have the same problem with my button not working. Or maybe working once in a while unexpectedly. There seems to be a real problem with any service. How can this be resolved? Surely Withings is reading all these comments about their inferior quality ??
