Hello everybody,
It seems that, under certain circumstances, Android 14 can lead to some unusual battery drain on some smartphones. Please know that we are working as fast as we can with Google to fix it. We apologize for the inconvenience and would like to thank you again for your patience.
Have a lovely day,
Armelle, Withings Customer Service
May be a factory reset will help.

Nope, already did that. Thanks anyway

The sad thing is that Withings is giving me their usual solution: Buy a new watch with a 25% discount. Great policy for tha planet...
likes
falk.pschebezin, I told them about my concerns on their "green" policies and their answer is that they'll increase the discount... They just don't get it.

Strange that only 1 person mentioned this issue.
I have the exact same issue since the last firmware update... so like ~1 month ago.
My battery life went from 3 weeks to 1 week right after the upgrade.

David.rivoal, TRUE!! it all started when I upgraded the watch!

Same here for mine .....you can see was monthly for a couple of yrs now then since start of September...2 days max completed factory reset twice...no joy

Same issue. Battery dropped overnight from 90+% to 60%

Isn't it strange that the new withing watch just came out when the problems started? I wonder if they forced us to upgrade through the firmware update...

same problem here after update

I think it's time for someone from Withings support to show up here and let us know you're working on a fix... the percentage of users that 1/ keep the watch up to date and 2/ will come here to create an account to complain is ridiculous... so it's obviously a widespread issue.
If some people come here and read this, please create an account, share the problem and like the initial post.

Same problem, indeed ! Very happy with my scanwatch till 2-3 weeks ago. The daily battery autonomy drop from 3% per day to 15-20% per day. Without any use change.
I tried the factory reset, and it didn't help at all.
Software version 2741...
... good to know we are several with the same problem, maybe it will motivate the Withings team to find a solution.

sorry for my bad English.
this is really not possible.
now the battery is not what they promise.
I also sent them an email.
Surely they should answer!

my watch is still under warranty.
So if it does not meet their promised specification, I also expect the warranty to pay me back.
It's just stupid was satisfied so far , an update and everything is ruined

just an answer from withings
we are aware of it.
And we will work on it or give you the old software back.

Hi Stefan,
If they provide you a method to downgrade, please let us know because I'll definitely want to downgrade too.
Too bad they just don't come here to say that they are aware of it and working to find a solution... we can all live a few weeks with the issue if we know a fix is coming soon... no communication is definitely not a way to handle it.

They are probably busy making sure there are no bugs in the new Scanwatch 2 and Scawatch Light. I would be surprised to see any fix before they start shipping the pre-orders or are publicly available

got an answer.
and sent them the link to this topic !

Got this back from Customer Support. Will do as he says and see where it goes from there
Thank you for contacting Withings Customer Support. My name is Neil and I will be assisting you today. I understand that there seems a consensus in the forums regarding the ScanWatch firmware version 2741 bug that caused the battery drain issue. I appreciate the information you provided.
It seems that the comments in the forum are from the users of the ScanWatch and Withings did not confirm the bug on the firmware version 2741.
To further investigate and resolve this issue. could you fully charge your ScanWatch and let me know how many days the battery lasts from 100% to 0%? Please be sure that the watch battery reaches 0% so that it is recorded in the device diagnostics.
You may get back to me at your most convenient time.
Have a great day.

I have Scanwatch Horizon for 1.5 years, the last 2 days the battery in the watch drops from 100% in 1 day to 20%. But the firmware version 2741 has been installed for 1 month and the battery was ok

I also am having this issue. Battery use to last for weeks. Now it lasts for days. Please fix this firmware problem. I love this watch, but I got it because of the battery life. Now it is annoying how short it stays charged. Please help fix this problem. I am currently working with support and letting it drain to 0% charge so they can do diagnostics. But I see this didn't help with other users. Or let us go back to previous firmware until this issue is fixed. Look forward to hearing from support.

I am having the same problem. I could do about 2 weeks when the battery was fully charged, but since the software update (and Scanwatch 2) release I have to charge every single day. This is ridiculous!

Same here. Two different watches. Not sure if firmware or new app on iOS. But both from three weeks to less than a week.
