A positive for the watch's worthiness.
An unfortunate if you have to discard it!
Keep healthy.

Hi Michael,
I'm glad it was sorted out.

Quoting the official ScanWatch FAQ regarding pacemakers:
Should I use ScanWatch if I wear a pacemaker?
No, you should not use ScanWatch if you wear a pacemaker or other internal medical device. A pacemaker circulates electrical signals in your body, which may induce wrong ECG measurements from the watch.
Note: Withings devices are connected via Bluetooth and/or WiFi. This means that they radiate electromagnetic fields that may interfere with other medical devices. If you have a pacemaker or another implantable active medical device, use precautions with connected objects. Please check with your doctor for detailed information before using these items.

The O2 and heart rate sensor are optical. The step counter and workout tracking should also work as usual, it's just the electrical ECG readout that may look strange with a pacemaker.
The watch also comes with a warning that it shouldn't be used as a medical device and that it shouldn't be used for self-diagnostics or changing medication. Or was that Apple that made that addition to their manuals?
Products that are sold in the USA come with all sorts of warnings, trying to write off their responsability for anything that may go wrong and to keep the lawyers busy

I'm in Denmark and you must not take advice from a stranger on the Internet ;)
