Hi Markus theres some error in the fw number system above u say its 3.50 fm and the link for the release notes your give 2651 firmware. So which is the correct answer. Am currently on 2281 sw2 so is that ??? Are they not logically going forward in numbers.plus point in the application software it should show the date / year of fw release would make sense.

    Regards
    Z

Hi, I have a ScanWatch 2 and I have noticed a bug in the software. Basically across all menus of the watch, by rolling the crown (button) up, the menu goes to the item below, so there is a reverse relationship between the button movement and menu movement. That’s fine. The problem is that in the menu for stopping or resuming a workout it is reversed. So if I start a workout, then I hold the button, the workout is paused. Now I want to stop the workout completely, but in this menu which I have option to resume or fully stop, rolling the crown up doesn’t go down as it usually does in other menus. I have to roll down to go down. It creates constant confusion / unintuitive interface.

    Hello @Zaib K,

Thank you for posting. Sorry for the confusion, firmware 3.5 is  another name for firmware 2651. I can confirm that firmware 2651 is the most recent version and the version before is 2281. It is currently being progressively deployed, so if you cannot yet update your watch you will be able to do so soon.

    Hi @Mahdi D,

Thank you for your feedback, we are always happy to hear what our customers have to say about changes made to our products or apps. There was no change to the crown function when pausing a workout as to resume or completely stop the workout, I have checked, this is not a bug but the normal functioning of the watch. I will forward your feedback to our dedicated team, thank you for taking the time to contact us and share your experience.

    Best regards,

Thks for the reply it makes sense now. Lasty u didn't comment on the last bit regarding adding a Date to the fw surly this can't be that difficult that way you would be able to see how long it had taken for the last fw update. 😊

Can withings not look at a dim brightness mode in the app for night time use would extend the battery life. And it wouldn't dazzle u during sleep buy accidental touch. Or even day use it's on at the lowest level and it's still too bright any help Markus.

Hi, thank you for the update.
I just wanted to express my dislike to the UI “improvement” that is setting the screen’s brightness to maximum during workouts (among other views).
It’s very distracting especially during a yoga class where I’m afraid I’ll distract others. I’d prefer to have the option to turn it off so that the brightness stays the same as default when I turn the workout on.

When is the latest when this update should be in all the SW2/Nova watches? 11 days later not available for my Nova.

And to be honest, it is very annoying when the watch software is full of bugs and there is newer firmware that cannot be downloaded :D

    Hello everyone,

Thanks for posting! The new firmware is still in deployment phase, it will soon be available for everyone, however at the moment we are releasing it gradually and it is not yet available for all users. Thank you for your patience, your watch will soon receive the update.

Have a good a day everyone!

This evening I got the 3.5 update for my ScanWatch Nova. I live in the Netherlands.

I was wondering how the update would take place, so sharing it here for anyone who didn't receive it yet:
    - when I opened the app (Android), on top of the screen there was a small picture of ScanWatch Nova and next to that message stating "Update - An update is available for your ScanWatch Nova."
==> ah finally my ScanWatch Nova is making itself visible as Nova ... so far it was showing as ScanWatch 2
    - when clicking on that message, the next screen with large picture of ScanWatch 2 with message on top, stating "Hold on... We're updating your ScanWatch to make sure you get the latest experience"
    - next counter of progress is shown, on ScanWatch small circle with % complete is increasing until 100%
    - next message in app is "Your ScanWatch is restarting..."
    - after restart in app as software version is shown 2651

    Hi,
It’s been a month since the upgrade was released, but I still haven’t received it. I’m in Chile.
It seems like I’ll get it only when the next update is released.

How much longer do I have to wait?

Am I able to revert to the previous firmware for the watch. Since going to software version 2651 on my watch I am only getting notifications come through about 10% of the time. The watch seems to be losing connection to my phone/theapp. I can reconnect it to the app but within 30 minutes it will stop giving notifications again even if I am sitting right beside my phone the whole time

    Hello @Andres G,

I'm sorry for the waiting time, to ensure a smooth experience for all users this firmware is rolled out in batches and the roll-out is still ongoing. Unfortunately I cannot provide you with a date when this will be completed as it depends on several factors, however be assured that the new firmware will soon be available for all users.

Thanks for your understanding and have a good day!

    Best regards,

Just be happy... the new firmware is bad.. notifications don't work anymore.. sync is bad and must be manual. Etc.
Withings promises improvement but unfortunately this takes a very long time and the priority does not seem to be here.

600€ for a watch with not-working functions and very bad support.. think twice.

I agree with comments from Jesse and Sam - my watch updated and now notifications rarely work. My watch will not stay connected to my phone and I miss notifications all the time. Withings has been very poor in their communication and support. I am giving them another 3 weeks before ditching my Withings watch, and commitment to their products, before I move onto something else. I have been extremely disappointed with Withings throughout all of this. I wish I could go back to a previous model of the watch as that was working perfectly. I am very sad I spent the money on a watch that does not work as advertised.

The iOS app is just really awful! I barely get notifications on my watch, like 10% of the time, and that has been going on for multiple months now. And no, the new firmware update did not fix it although I had high hopes. But it is not even only limited to that, the app is just buggy and not synced with the phone most of the time. Every time I open the app, it shows the wrong battery percentage and jumps to a lower number after a short while. Even for a simple task like setting the alarm, it takes like 30 seconds for the app to be synced with the watch, during which I need to wait to be able to set an alarm. I mean how hard can it be to fix these basic issues? Another one: No matter how many times I turn on notifications for a specific apps, it has just gone back to the default setting the next time I check! Really annoying to be honest... It is a shame that such nice material and hardware have turned into a useless piece of metal due to software issues. Total waste of money.

Had exactly the same problem (among other very annoying problems) that Amir & others and made a ticket to Withings support December last year. Even sent a video to support where my selected notifications disappeared in front of my eyes. And all I got after 4,5 months of waiting for 2nd level support contacting me, that never happened, got this:

    Hello,

We hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out regarding our review of the issue you’ve reported to us. After thoroughly investigating your case, we were unable to replicate the problem.

Note that some issues, app bugs specifically, can be complex to reproduce and test due to various factors such as mobile device type, operating system differences, network conditions, user-specific settings, or compatibility with 3rd party applications.

Although we will mark your request as ‘Solved,’ please know that your case has been recorded by our Quality Assurance Team. This means that if we receive more reports of similar occurrences, we will re-open the investigation and continue attempting to reproduce the issue.

In the meantime, we recommend keeping your mobile OS and the Withings app up to date, along with your Withings device’s firmware, to benefit from the latest fixes and improvements.

Thank you for being a Withings user.

Just bought a Nova, and - while I'm delighted with the physical hardware, it looks & feels great - my day 1 experience with the software for this thing is... not quite what I would expect from a product that costs this much.

Especially concerning coming on here & seeing the last firmware release is 2 months old, & the previous one an even longer gap. There's also multiple support threads with people waiting up to a year for fixes to be released for basic bugs due to this snails pace release cadence, and firmware rollouts seem to be staggered for some bizarre reason (is there possibly an infrastructure capacity issue that needs to be addressed here?)

Are there any plans to update your software development release process? This really isn't giving me confidence that the support meets expectations for something at this premium price point.
