    Hi,

Sorry that your Body Cardio is stuck in a Factory Reset Loop.

First of all, I advise you to charge your device for 5 hours, so it can be fully charged.

When your Body Cardio is fully charged, please reset it by pressing and holding the button on the side of the scale for a full 20 seconds.

If the issue persists, I invite you to send us an email via https://within.gs/help

    Have a great day,

I have the same problem. After connecting the scale to the charger for two hours it now can't be turned on at all. I'm guessing that this reboot loop doesn't let the scale charge properly. Interestingly the problem also started occurring yesterday for me. Was there some firmware rollout?

Mine did the same thing. It still has battery life and turns on, but will not connect to my phone on the app.

Make sure you are close to your wifi when starting your scale. Mine got stuck in the factory loop, but I got a new one in 3 days. Very happy now!

My scale started doing something strange.. it goes off and comes back on.  showing different weights (as if someone is standing on it)  I recorded a video to better explain since its hard to put into words..

whom can I mail this too?

Mine shows "Hello" for an couple och seconds and then black for couple of seconds. And repeats lika that until batterys dies. I have tried pressing the button for 20seconds.

Before this behavior it just showed different weights. Like someone was standing on it.

    Whats next?

I just got this home and have been working with it for two hours trying to get it to give me the body weight % (body composition) measurements.  I did everything they suggest on the support page and it still doesn’t work.    When I stand on le it tries to do it but a big x shows up.   How do you do a factory reset?  Wondering if that will work or if I should just take this back to BB&B and get a different brand and trash them on yelp like many others have done.   Any advice?

The same has happened to me. The two hour fix doesn't work and it looks like this has happened to a lot of people, there are a few youtube videos describing the issue. Will anything be done to resolve this?

Mine actually ended up working.. I did what it says to do above

". Can you please try charging your scale for 2 hours and afterward pressing and holding the button for 20 seconds (check to see if the button clicks). "

After that, I basically reset it to factory settings... the ONLY thing that I did differently when it finally worked was to make sure to delete your scale from your Bluetooth list from your smartphone.  When you do a reset let it register that scale again as a brand new Bluetooth device.

    Good luck

I'm in the same situation with the scale in a perpetual factory reset cycle. Did anyone get a good response from withing support?

I am experiencing the above described reset loop issue (Hallo -> Reset -> Factory) with my body cardio since yesterday. Is there any solution for this issue?

I am experiencing the same looping issue as of today, (Hello> Reset>Factory). It was fully charged earlier this week and after earlier this morning seeing the different weights also reported I was able to see the battery was at 83% charged. I will attempt the 2hr charge and factory reset, though it currently makes no difference when I attempt to press the button on the side. Does anyone know what the three holes at the bottom do, on the same side as the button and input for the charger?

still no resolve on this then, mine was just  out of warranty when this happened to me, and i had only charged it twice since buying it brand new, not buying nokia or withings products ever again.

I had the same problem with the continuous factory reset loop, it turned out to be the battery was faulty.  Unfortunately the battery isn't easily replaceable which seems like a design flaw to me, especially as it's a mobile phone battery and my experience with lithium ion phone batteries is they're only good for a couple of years.

To replace the battery (beware and you might destroy your scales trying to do this if you're not careful and will certainly void your warranty), you need to undo the 4 screws on the bottom (takes a small Allen/Hex key).  Then you need to pull the bottom away from the top (it's stuck together with double sided tape, so takes a bit of pulling to get it apart.  You'll need to be careful not to rip off the connector to the button on the side.  Once inside you can see the battery is actually soldered directly onto the battery connectors.  The battery is the same as the one inside a Samsung Galaxy S3, I ordered one off Amazon for £9.99 in UK.  You'll then need to detach the existing battery and solder the connection back together for the replacement battery. There's four copper connectors on the battery, the one closest to the edge connect the red wire to, then the third one over is the black wire.  Here's a link for a site that shows how to open it up. https://novemberfive.co/blog/hardware-teardown-withings-body-cardio

Once I put mine back together, charged it for 2 hours and restarted it, it was good as new.

So I'm not the only one. Mine is sitting there going through the Factory Reset loop for a week now. It is a very heavy brick.

I'd given up on this product when Nokia remotely deleted the pulse wave velocity feature and my first thought was they where at it again when I saw the factory reset happening.

I have the same exact issue. I tried the proposed “solution” and it has done absolutely nothing. It’s stuck in an endless loop. This is a defect plain and simple. I bought this scale two years ago and two years is not an acceptable life for any electronic device at this price. Nokia sort it out.
