Syncing Weight to Google Fit

Hi Dave, have you tried updating the Health mate app? I know they just released an update not too long ago and from my experience in the past, it has helped. If you have, I would email their customer support so they can look into it. 

It's supposed to work, because the synchronization offers the specific option to sync weight.  So, this is really a bug, that Withings has not acknowledged or addressed yet.  They need to.

hey Dave, I'm also experiencing this issue. the Healthmate app shows up in 'connected apps' in the Google Fit app and I have the permissions set to allow export of weight data, yet no new weight information in the Fit app... hmmm..

I was considering buying the Steel HR Watch also but it doesn't support Google Fit...
It's as if they don't want our money!

Just purchased this scale yesterday - and I'm finding the weight STILL won't sync with Google Fit, which is what led me to this forum, hoping to find an answer.  If they haven't fixed the problem yet, I'm wondering if they are even going to bother?  Making me think I might need to look for a better connected scale...

Same problem here - bought the Withings Body scale yesterday specifically to sync weight with Google Fit, but haven't been able to get the Health Mate app to sync with Fit. Have tried removing and re-adding the partnership, and updated all software to latest versions, but no luck.

Same here. It worked until last week. Measurement from yesterday didn't appear in Google Fit. Tried to tinker with settings, managed to import steps from Google Fit so both apps are obviously still connected but weight measurement just won't load up to Google Fit!

I have the same issue syncing weight to Google Fit. I think mine stopped syncing in March. Very frustrating.

Started using Google Fit recently, weight sync doesn't work at all. Been set up for days and no transfer of data. 

Weight data transfer to other apps (MyFitnessPal) works fine, but not with Google Fit

This has worked on and off for the last couple of years, but I've been having to update my Google Fit weight manually for probably the last 6 months, which kind of defeats the object. I once got it to work automatically again by trying different ways of disconnecting the services and reconnecting them.

But, from reading a thread on tracking sleep data (and the fact that also, apparently doesn't sync with Google Fit), someone mentioned the app 'Health Sync'. I just installed it, and it immediately synced my Withings weight to Google Fit :-)

Crazy that we need to use a third party app to do something which should happen as standard, but at least it's working!

So did you try the solution of the third party app 'health sync'? Works a charm.

I wanted to try Health Sync but they're asking a lot of permissions when linking to my Google Fit account, including some data (full name, profile picture, additional details) which are unrelated to the task it should be doing. I'm a little skeptical in having them as the middle-man handling my health (and unnecessary additional) data..

I prefer a Sync without Health sync.

I unlinked my accounts, both in HealthSync and Google Fit. Then signed out of my account in Health Sync and then rebooted my phone. I then signed back into HealthSync and relinked to Google Fit. 

Now, I have some syncing of weight data from Health Sync to Google Fit. However, it is always 1 day older than the most current weight entry. I also have to open up the Health Sync app and refresh the data there before it will sync to Google Fit. 

So, I got sync working but it doesn't work that well and required some manual actions. 

The further problem with HealthSync is that they hit you up for money after a very short trial period.  So it's not only a flawed program, but the obvious and better solution here is for Withings to respect their customers and fix the problem in their own free app.

Similar problems (WS-30). It usually syncs to fit but is ALWAYS at least one day behind. Occasionally, it will stop syncing at all for no apparent reason. This really needs to be fixed after all this time.

I too am having this issue, how frustrating. 

This happens to me periodically, first on a Pixel XL, now on a Pixel 4 XL. I was able to re-sync my weight measurements by going into the Google Fit app and disconnecting Health Mate. When I opened the Health Mate app and navigating to my profile, the Google Fit icon indicated a sync failure. When I re-linked Google Fit in the Health Mate app, all of the missed weight measurements (in my current case, the last four days) appeared in Google Fit.

This is an annoying way to fix the problem. I would like more control over being able to determine where the sync error is happening and, if necessary, a way to force a re-link without jumping through additional hoops.

I seem to have spoken too soon. The Health Mate app has again stopped syncing weight with Google Fit. Since it still imports my step count from Google Fit, I assume the error is on the Health Mate side rather than the Google Fit side. I assume there is a way to file a bug with Withings? I'll have a look around the site after posting this comment.

I've experienced this bug for 2+ years now. Just once with Garmin Connect (unlinking and linking the services again solved it), but forever with Google Fit. Seems, to me, something wrong on Google side...

This has been frustrating me too recently. For some reason despite disconnecting and reconnecting Fit and Healthmate, weight data from January 17 and onward refuses to sync. Step counts are importing into Fit but weight isn't exporting from Healthmate to Fit.

I am frustrated too.....my issue is the scale data not syncing with another fitness app.  Every time i talk to Withings, they tell me everything is OK on their end and the other app folk say the same thing.  So annoying!

Same issue for me, withings scale won't sync with google fit on pixel 3a.

Here with the same problem on my Pixel 2XL. I just noticed that it hasn't synced to Google Fit since November 21, 2018
