Was considering a Withings scale but this is a showstopper for me. Athletes will not buy your watches so if you want to sell your scales to this segment please fix!

I guess this issue here is not with withings.

I think the issue is rather with Garmin lacking open APIs to share and import the data.

Thus I suggest everyone reading this to also reply on Garmin's Forum https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mobile-apps-web/f/garmin-connect-web/80285/open-api and post a feature request to open API's on https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/

Thanks withings for your great products and would appreciate to see this feature soon!

Withings, I would very much appreciate it if you would partner with Garmin (I do not care who's fault it is) to get the Garmin Connect App and Withings App to share data (weight, BMI, etc)

Je souhaite également que Withings synchronise le poids avec Garmin Connect. J'ai aussi l'appli My Fitness Pal. Au début le poids se synchronisait mais plus depuis plusieurs mois. Si les 2 appli principales se synchronisaient directement ce serait idéal ! Merci

Unfortunately the Withings to MyFitnessPal to Garmin no longer works.  I have them all connected but no data comes through.  I continue to believe the issue is with Garmin, but would really appreciate it Withings if you would try to broker a relationship with Garmin and make this connection.

Just ordered a Garmin watch and I'm very dissapointed to find out that Withings doesn't support synching with Garmin.
Is the issue with Withings or Garmin?
This type of walled garden behaviour seem to be annoyingly common when it comes to fitness wearables and services 😒

I'm relatively certain that the issue is unfortunately with Garmin as Withings connects to a variety of other apps. . . would still like to see Withings work to get it working with Garmin, but I suspect from reading the forums that this used to work (the integration) and that Garmin intentionally broke it or allowed it to break when they came out with their own scale.  The lack of standards and integration is frustrating.

It's a disgrace that this thread has been open for 2 years and not a single word from a Withings rep. I recently bought a Withings watch and it doesn't connect with any of my other apps for sleep, alarms or heart rate. Only works in Health Mate so all my other paid-for apps are now useless unless I go back to one of my other watches which work across the board with 3rd party apps. The biggest disappointment is the inability to use it as a heart rate monitor with my Garmin Edge device. Complete letdown and failure of a product. Don't waste your money on Withings devices for fitness or 3rd part integrations.

I'll add my voice here. Do something about this issue; can't you see that MANY users have garmin products and want connectivity? Who do you think you sell you scales to? If we didn't care about the data, we would buy a regular scale.

well, I'm just on the verge too by a fitness scale and I must say that reading all of this I'm very hesitant of buying a Withings scale. It's a pity though since I like the features of the Withings Cardio scale.

since withings is not supporting a connection to garmin connect for the weight, i'm now thinink of buying a garmin scale. it is easy as that.

Well, I may just return the scale if cannot make it communicate with Garmin well...
Looks like Withings does not care at all.

To be honest, we have to assume that they have NO intentions what so ever to do any of this. Garmin is a leading brand, but nothing yet, so do not hold your breath

    I use withings-sync.

And it works. But you have to have some technical skills

I’ll probably just switch to a Garmin scale when my withings nears end of life. Unless they enable this connection.

it is terrible that Withings does not prioritize this. I will probably switch to a Garmin Scale in the future. It is not perfect at all, but the only solution I found was https://smartscalesync.com

You can blame Withing until the sky comes down, but Withings is very open with their data.

Garmin however... Locked as can be.  Any firm that is just for a little bit in the same market wil NOT get acces to Garmin.  So Withings can't send the data to garmin, because garmin will not allow it.  Simple as that.

So with a Garmin device you get vender-lock-in.

And by the way.  I sync my withings perfect with MFP als link.  Works without a problem for 3 years now.  (even longer, but 3 years ago I had some trouble.)

I get. Garmin is really a pain for me too. But we do not have many options. Garmin works really well for activity tracking (I have watch with GPS from them). Also a cadence sensor for my bike. And it does sync well with services like Strava and Ride with GPS. Before I had FitBit and had too many problems. I do not want to get anything unreliable. And I need a scale that feeds weight there. I only got Withing as I wanted 1) to automate it. 2) Have the extra data as well (fat %, etc.) - I do need it to sync with Garmin. I had to do it using someone else's solution. MFP does not help me. Do you get to sync anything other than weight there?

Not sure if it will help but posted the question of syncing between these 2 apps on Garmin's site as well.  I was able to go onto the computer version of connect.  In the Calorie section there is a sync with My Fitness Pal (what I also use that does sync for weight) and was able to pull my weight into Garmin for the days that I do the sync.

Sadly, the time has come to consider replacing my Withings scale with a Garmin scale. Given the amount of information I now have in Garmin Connect with the Fenix 7X, not having my weight data there as well is now an issue.
