Have you tried resetting your router? Make sure that MAC address filter is disabled on your router. If it is enabled, you need to enter the MAC ID of your monitor manually.

You can find the instructions on how to set up your monitor by visiting this link https://tinyurl.com/y49af5jn.

I have tried adding the MAC ID to my router and no go - the app still returns error : “unable to change the WiFi  configuration of your device”.  I will return this product.

Sign off your Withings Healthmate app. Connect to the new network and then try to connect the device again. Somehow the cache holds on to your previous wi-fi credentials and it will not let you connect from another network, which is crazy! I bought this darn thing to monitor my blood pressure and I have increased it tenfold trying to connect the device to measure it. This is way too complicated for a simple data transfer. The MUST give you three option: 1. WiFi connect, 2. BT connect or 3. stand alone without all this networking.

I had the same problem and realised the system wasn't giving me enough time to enter the wifi password. When I copied and pasted it faster, it worked.

This should be pinned.  Had the same issue.  The BPM Connect doesn’t stay in “setup” mode long enough for the software to complete the initial setup.  By the time it reaches the WiFi setup step, it has already shut off and is no longer “listening” for further setup instructions from the app.

Ted had the right solution — close out the app, reopen it, then add the BPM Connect manually (Devices -> Install a Device, etc.).  Since you’ve already logged in and gone through the data import, this gets to the WiFi setup step much faster than during the initial setup.

Thanks for taking time to post responses here. Thanks to your help I was able to forget the device then successfully pair by being much quicker on the draw with the Wi-Fi password. This could easily be avoided if the device extended the active setup time.
