    I have the same problem. I cannot get past the update profile screen. The app no longer works since updating on my iPhone.

    I have the same problem cannot get past the update profile screen, uninstalled and reinstalled app on my iPhone still no good.

    I have the same problem, but it worked in iOS 26.01, but now I have updated to iOS 26.1. But I think it's because Withings wants to have access to your data.

    One of the main reasons we purchased the Withings scale was because of good write ups and the app to measure progress. I don't want to sign off on any "conditions" to use an app. When I looked at the small print about 15 subjects came up asking for permission to use my information for advertisers and the like. And IF, one opts out you still have to sign off on the Terms of Use, etc. and I'm not going to read 30 pages of small print to see if there's a clause that over rides my objections to using my data.  That's NOT why I purchased the scale!!!!!!

    Someone from Withings Please solve this issue !!!!

    I went on the Chat at 9:07 and it's now 9:26 and no one answers the chat after switching to a "live" person. I've been surfing but no other mention about the issue, that I've found, except for those mentioned here. I don't like purchasing a product and then 6 months later I can't use the App without divulging personal info.

    I'm in complete agreement with Brian. I didn't buy the scale so Withings can sell/share my data. I bought it... and have been using it for several years... because the scale gives me very usable information. Withings... seems to me that a good compromise would be to 1. Fix the update that requires the updating/expansion of personal data so that one can at least use the app with the scale, and 2. Give users the ability to opt out to sharing of data by default or, opt in if one wants to let the world have our information. 

    This really appears to be a policy change at Withings, and you folks at Withings need to know that the days of consumers allowing government and businesses access to personal data are going away. I'm not going to trash my scale, but I certainly won't be purchasing any additional Withings products. I'll just accept that my Withings scale is now as dumb as a fence post.

    I'm on Chat with Withings now trying to resolve this. I can see some info on line but not on my phone. Withings says the info is needed to comply with local regulations. But, if I give them my country and state, look at and opt out of about 15 advertising and use questions I would still need to agree to the Terms of Use etc. I'm not going to read 30+ pages of notes to find out if I still agree to Withings using my data or not. I'm not an attorney!

    I have the same problem.  "Chat" was useless.  They gave me the same steps over and over (clear the app cache, delete the app & reinstall, long press on icon, etc.).  Nothing works

    Please fix the app asap! I planned to purchase additional Withings devices in the near future. But this update shocked me!
    If you don't fix this asap I will sell my Withings product. And I like it very much!
    You wanna force us to use our data without an option to opt out? Not with me!

    I am in total agreement with all comments submitted. I will also be moving on from Withings if this problem is not resolved in a timely fashion

    Unless Withings resolves the profile update locking out the app functionality, the watch will become useless. Sad.

    You can opt out of the advertising, which I did. We'll see if I receive any new email traffic.

    All this activity seems to have been noticed. I am now at least able to login to the app. I did have to reinitialize my Body+ scale, but it appears that it's now functional and the app no longer shuts me out. 

    Brian, where in the app did you go to opt out of advertising? I'd love to do that, too.

    By the way, I'm willing to assume that this whole mess was just a tech glitch and not the result of some nefarious intent on the part of Withings. It might be good to get a response from the company, but I'm glad to move on. With my eyes open, going forward.

    Eventually found my issue was a formatting issue. On country selection the "next" was mostly off the bottom of the display screen. Just a thin dark line was all that was shown.

    I use large display accessibility features on my iphone 15 and the formatting technology doesn't seem to cope well.

    I declined advertising in the first stages of Updating My Profile:   Go To "Read Our Privacy Policy" and then " Customize" to opt out of advertising. Then you'll still need to agree to the Terms of Use. etc. and should not get advertising you opted out of.

    I have the same problem with the app screen not letting me progress, so am unable to use the app currently.

    Am so done with Withings right now, more trouble than it’s worth.

    Same here. After latest update (I think it was 8.1) of the app, two weeks ago, I can't access my data in the app without consent of sharing my private data. This is unacceptable and I believe it is braking of human rights. Now I have 4 devices that I paid and are unusable as I can't access the data. Maybe some of us Withings users should write to some EU body for Customer Protection, how Withings is "extorting" us to give consent to collect our personal data? Any one interested in this?

    Same here :(
    My wife is on iOs 18.x and can use the app normally. On my side I’m on iOS 26.1 and the app requires me to provide country of origin upon startup. When validating, it just says “Error”. The app can’t be used anymore…
    Any estimation on when the issue will be fixed ?

    One month later - same problem, still unresolved. Withings says the issue has been “answered”. Not from where I am sitting. I do not have the time nor the inclination to manually track, my weight, water content, BMI, etc. I will be looking for another scale.

    I am also having the same problem.  I can't use my Withings device because I can't get past the "Update Profile" screen in the iPhone Withings App.  After updating information (just needed to add the state I live in), I click the next button in the app but I get an error message "Please try again".  I can't seem to bypass this screen in any way.

    I was also stuck in the infinite loop here, where the app kept saying "please try again" on the "keep your profile up-to-date" screen. I managed to resolve it. I'm not sure which of these things did it but here's what I did:

    - Loaded https://healthmate.withings.com/ (on a computer, not a phone) and "updated" my profile. I changed my name to something else.

    - Re-opened the Withings app on iOS and set my country to Zimbabwe.

    Anyway, now I'm back in. Good luck everyone.

    I’m having the same problem as so many of you with the “Update Profile”screen… Really frustrating, and after troubleshooting for hours, I’m ready to give up on Withings as a result.
