    Hello @everyone,

Thank you for reaching out to us and sharing these details. It’s very helpful to see how the recent v8.4.0 update is performing across different devices. We want to ensure that your experience with the app is smooth and that your data is exactly where you expect it to be.

To help us fine-tune the app's performance and ensure your health data syncs perfectly between your phone and our servers, we would like to take a closer look at these specific cases.

Because these experiences vary—ranging from display loops on Android to synchronization differences between the app and the web—our technical team needs to review this on their end.

    1. Connect with us via Live Chat: Please visit this link.

    2. Share your details: Mention the Phone Model and App Version you are using (like the helpful details Christian provided). This allows our senior support team to investigate the specific "handshake" between your device and the new update.

    3. Sync Verification: For those seeing data in the app but not on the web dashboard, our team can help refresh that connection to ensure your history is consistent across all platforms.

We are committed to providing a stable and reliable experience for all our users. Your feedback is a vital part of our ongoing improvements, and we appreciate your patience while we look into these reports.

    Regards,

For me the App is stuck in a loading loop. It doesn't display any data. Only the tiles with a skeleton loader or blank pages. When I switch tabs it shows me the introduction overlay every time I go on a new tab.

    Phone: Pixel 9 Pro
Android Version: 16 (Security Patch 05.01.2026)

I also have a problem with this update on Android - when I log in - I am treated as a new user and have no profile.  A year's worth of data has disappeared.

I have the same problem. Either all is black or it only shows the tiles without anything in them. Would be nice if someone from whitings could come out and confirm there is problems with the Android-app.

For me, the App forced me to log in (on 2/6).  Once I logged in, it showed my Steps and Activity from 2/5.  After going to the Share page and connecting Partner Apps (Samsung Health, Health Connect), the Home page would update my Steps and Activity (tested 2/6 and 2/7).  To check if my Withings Account synced, I checked my account on the site and neither Steps nor Activity updated, as the data showed through 2/5; however, Weight and Sleep were up to date.  I tried multiple combination of logging out of the App and back in, uninstalling/reinstalling, restarting my phone, and Steps and Activity still don't sync, even though the App shows data.  If there's a step/process or other info I'm missing/omitting, please let me know.

All my data has gone too! I updated to 8.4. (iOS 26.2.1) Well I was automatically updated and when I logged in I have one measurement from 26.10.25 and nothing else. My data goes back 15 years and would be sad if it’s all gone. What do we do to try and fix this?

I have the same issue as Christian W posted 5 days ago(+ others). How are we supposed to find out if anything is being done about this issue?. I'm seriously p!$$£@ off about this as I have doctors appointment on Friday and wish to discuss the change in my health (data) which I currently have no access to!

Finally, after the 3rd re-install the app sync worked, and all my data is back!

Just to chime in on the same issue with v8.4.0 on iOS 26.2.1:

Mine crashes when I swipe to delete a measurement from the list.

I re-installed the app as requested by support, however it crashed after importing 56% of the data.

I reopend the app, and after several hours it has managed to pull in more of my data, but nothing after 29 July 2024 08:01am.

I have 14 years of data showing on the Web version (which I have downloaded), but unable to see it in the app.

I noticed that if you ask the new AI in the app it does give answers to questions like "what is my average weight over the past week?" which is a work around for me.

I'm getting the same issues after this update.

I'm sensing some vibe coding going on.  Gird your loins everyone, this kind of thing is only going to get worse.

Good to raise more awareness to them, so they know it's a bigger issue.

I managed to get them on the chat, although it's a painful process, wait times 10-15 minutes, and if you get on with other things and miss your small window of opportunity they close the chat session after 30 seconds and you have to start again :(

I find it shocking that Withings haven't responded.

I cannot get past the 'Getting your account ready' page.

I've tried reinstalling, wiping data etc.

My watch is no longer a smart watch!

I received an email from support responding to my ticket, the app has been updated to v8.4.1.

Unfortunately this has not fixed it for me, has it worked for anyone else please?

    Phone: Samsung s25 (Android)
    App version Whitings: 8.4.0
I own a Smart Whatch 2, a smart scale and a blood pressure device.

I have tried uninstalling / installing the app many times, but to no luck.
What typically happens: After installing, when I open the app it stays on the "Getting things ready"-screen for some time, often halting for a great while at 48%.

When finished, I am taken into the dashboard, and it seems to have the most resent data in the first view of the dashboard (for some info, like watch data, it is from last time I could sync it). But if I try to click at measurement to get more info on it (for instance Weight), the app does nothing for a little while, then it goes to a completely black screen. After a while I will get a message from android that the Whitings app is not responding and a question if I want to stop it or wait.

I have looked briefly on my data on the web site, and they seem to be there.

(Is this OK info, or do you also want me to contact the chat?)

Phone: iPhone 15 Pro (iOS 26.2.1)

    App version: 8.4.1

Withings BPM & Withings Scan Scale.

I have tried uninstalling / installing app many times, but no luck.

I install, authenticate, and then it says "Getting things ready" - Counter increases (quite fast) until it reaches 56%  then it pauses a long time, then the app crashes (closes)

I re-open the app, and it says "Sync Completed" but it only has data up to 2021.

It asks me to approve sync with Apple Health - I tried it once saying Yes, and reinstalled and said No (neither worked)

After leaving the app open for many hours, it now shows data up to June 2024 - left it open 2 days now and it never gets any more data.

After the 8.4.1 update (on 16-February-2026), it does something slightly different - it still crashes, and after re-opening it eventually downloads data up to 2024, and then has started showing my new measurements from this week - but there is a big gap between June 2024 - January 2026.

I have had many versions of the Withings scales and Blood Pressure Monitors and also steps trackers since 2012, and all of my data is showing on the Web Interface, just not in the app, and so I can't make use of the more advanced graphs in the apps to see my weekly averages.

This is what "fixed" it for me.  (So far).   I reinstalled the app and before it could sync my Scan Watch I went to it and removed the watch from my devices.  I did this because the app kept crashing trying to sync my watch.  So, after removing my watch and factory resetting it, I was able to add my watch back and now the app is up and seems stable.  Only two weeks worth of data lost, thanks devs!    *grumbles something about vibe coders*

I'm stuck in the same situation.

    Pixel Fold 10

    app version 8.4.0.

App crashes on sync and becomes unusable until data is deleted.

I followed David P's advice of dissociating my device in the app before it crashes, reinstalling and re-pairing and I'm back in. I also lost about 2 weeks of data which is annoying.

    What the actual EFF, Withings?
Please test your software better, this is completely unacceptable.
    8.4.0. doesn't work.
8.4.1 is not available on play store.
This is not professional, a generic Linux distribution is better tested and have way better support.
I have a Scanwatch Nova, BPM Core and Body Cardio. Right now I'm very certain that I will not buy any more of your products.
The App doesn't open properly, just the framework without any content. I managed to trick it to work by disabling all permissions, restarted the phone and avtivated all permissions again but that only worked for ten minutes.

Android user.. I downloaded version 8.2 from an apk mirror (at your own risk) and it all works just fine. I then turned off auto updates in the play store and am back working across all my devices. Will wait until its all fixed before nexr upgrade

I copy and paste Gert H experience here. Identical to mine (well sync pauses on 75% instead of 48% for me). Did the hole - clear cash delete data - reinstall dance. But been without a proper working smartwatch for weeks now.
