Activity Reminder, also known as an inactivity alert, sedentary alert, sedentary reminder, move reminder, or stand-up reminder, will notify you when you have been sitting, lying down, or inactive for too long, alert you during long periods of inactivity, and remind you to move and bring movement into your body throughout the day.
Activity Reminder’s main function is to help you reach your daily step goal but is often used as a general reminder to stay active, especially when you sit down for work. If the feature is activated, ScanWatch 2 will be able to detect the lack of movement and will notify you about it, encouraging you to bring movement into your body.
Typically, if you have been sitting or lying down for the past hour (without falling asleep, of course) ScanWatch 2 will send you an Activity Reminder notification.
A few things to know:
- Activity Reminder is not running during nighttime or during daytime if sleep is detected by ScanWatch 2.
- Activity Reminder is not available in if Do Not Disturb in ON.
- You can’t snooze your Activity Reminder notifications.
Activity reminder alerts will not occur if:
- You have taken more than 100 steps in the past hour.
- Your daily step goal has already been reached.
- The watch detects you sleeping.
To activate or deactivate the feature, perform the following steps:
- Open the Withings App.
- Tap your Devices in the top right-hand corner of the Home screen.
- Find your device and scroll down.
- Scroll down to ScanWatch 2 Features.
- Tap the Activity Reminder toggle.
