Important: As of October 1, 2024, the Cloud Video Recording (CVR) service will be discontinued. If you are currently subscribed to a CVR plan, you should receive an email communication with more info. If you have not yet received the communication, please reach out to Customer Service by clicking the "Contact us" button at the bottom of the page.
What is the Cloud Video Recording?
Cloud Video Recording allows you to keep your timeline items and timelapse playbacks for a longer time than the default 2 days. You also have access to continuous recordings of your video stream.
Two Cloud Video Recording plan options are available:
- 7-day continuous recording, 7 days' worth of timeline items and 7 days' worth of timelapse playback for $7.95 / 7.95€ per month
- 30-day continuous recording, 30 days' worth of timeline items and 30 days' worth of timelapse playback for $19.95 / 19.95€ per month
You can then apply your plan to as many cameras as you want on your account for an extra $5 / 5€ per camera.
Important: You can't access recordings dating from before your Cloud Video Recording subscription as the plans are not retroactive. Events are recorded starting from the Cloud Video Recording subscription.
How do I subscribe to a plan?
- Open the Home app.
- Tap Cloud Video Recording.
- Tap Start my free trial.
- Tap the plan you want to subscribe to.
- Select the cameras for which you want to activate the plan and tap Checkout.
- Enter your billing information and tap Start your free trial.
How do I unsubscribe from a plan?
To unsubscribe from the app (if you haven’t dissociated your Home before), perform the following steps:
- Open the Home app.
- Tap Cloud Video Recording.
- Tap Unsubscribe.
- Tap Cancel now.
If you have already dissociated your Home, you won’t be able to cancel your plan from the app. In this case, perform the following steps:
- Go to https://account.withings.com/purchase/purchase_description.
- Tap Unsubscribe.
- Tap Cancel now.
How do I update my subscription to a plan?
- Open the Home app.
- Tap Cloud Video Recording.
- Tap Upgrade your plan.
- Select the correct history duration.
- Add a camera, if necessary.
- Tap Continue.
- Tap Confirm.
Important note: The videos of your Home will be deleted if you upgrade your Cloud Video Recording plan. Before upgrading your Cloud Video Recording plan, please save your videos.
How do I change my billing information?
- Open the Home app.
- Tap Cloud Video Recording.
- Tap Billing information.
- Update your information and tap Update.
How to I apply a coupon to existing plan?
In order to apply a coupon or discount code to an existing CVR subscription, perform the following steps:
- Unsubscribe from your CVR plan.
- Wait until your current plan's subscription period (either seven or thirty days) has elapsed.
- Log out of the Home app and log back in.
- Follow the sign-up process and apply the coupon or discount code in the space provided.
How do I view older Timelapses?
- Tap Replay the last 24h in your Journal.
- Tap the calendar icon.
- Select the date you’re interested in.
- Tap the Play button.
How do I view older Cloud Video Recordings?
- Tap Replay the last 24h in your Journal.
- Tap the calendar icon.
- Select the date you’re interested in.
- Navigate to the timeline at the bottom of the screen until you find the event you're interested in.
- Tap the blue icon to view the video.
How do I save or download a video?
- Slide your finger on the event you’re interested in your Journal.
- Tap the Share button.
- Tap Save the video.
Can the Home store videos to a hard drive or other cloud server?
The Home is unable to store videos on any hard drive or cloud server other than our own CVR.
