This article will help you if you encounter any of the following issues:
- The screen of your Withings Pulse doesn't turn on
- Your mobile device can't find your Withings Pulse via Bluetooth
- Your Withings Pulse is stuck on "Updating..."
- The setup process fails
Before proceeding with troubleshooting, please make sure that your mobile device is compatible with the Withings Pulse .
The screen of your Withings Pulse doesn't turn on
If the screen of your Withings Pulse doesn't turn on:

Charge it for at least two hours.
Try using a USB cable you know is working to make sure the issue doesn't come from the cable that comes with the device. - After charging it, press the button for 15 seconds.
At this point, it can take up to a minute for your Withings Pulse to start.
When it does, "hello" is displayed on the screen.

Your mobile device can't find your Withings Pulse via Bluetooth
- Make sure your Withings Pulse is close enough to your mobile device (10 m/30 ft.).
- Go to the Bluetooth settings of your mobile device and pair your Withings Pulse from there.
You can then go back to the app to install it.

Your Withings Pulse is stuck on "Updating..."
If your Withings Pulse is stuck on "Updating..." during the installation process, perform the following steps:
- Stop the installation process by exiting the app.
- Perform a hard reset by pressing the button for 15 seconds.
- Start the installation process again.
If the setup process fails, perform the following steps:
- Make sure you have access to the internet on your mobile device.
- Make sure that you keep the app open during the installation process.
- Make sure that the screen of your mobile device stays on during the installation process.
- Keep your Withings Pulse close to your mobile device during the installation process.
Note: if your Withings App says that the PIN or pairing code is incorrect, it means that your mobile device needs to be restarted.
