Follow these tips to take a successful ECG when weighing in:
-
Hold the handle with both hands and ensure each hand is holding the correct side marked L (Left) and R (Right).
Note: If you do not see markings on your handle and are unsure of which side is left and right, simply retract the handle back into the scale. The handle is magnetized and will settle into the correction position.
-
Place your thumbs on each of the top electrodes.
-
Step on the scale barefoot and stand still.
- The measurement will take 30 seconds. Please try to stand still for the duration of the measurement.
For the most accurate ECG measurements, please follow these guidelines:
- Do not move or speak during the recording.
- Your arms must be relaxed, along the body. Make sure that there is no skin-to-skin contact when taking the recording.
- Make sure you are holding the handle correctly. The 'L' mark must be under the left hand, and 'R' mark under the right hand.
- Make sure that you are not holding the handle too tightly.
- Remove all rings you might have as this can lead to a poor recording.
Proper positioning showing no skin-to-skin contact.
