First, make sure that you have activated ECG on your scale (US users / EU users).
Follow these tips to take a successful ECG when weighing in:
- Step on the scale barefoot and grab the handle. Your feet should be centered on the horizontal stripes on the scale's surface.
- Hold the handle with both hands and ensure each hand is holding the correct side.
-
Place your thumbs on each of the electrodes, below the screen, and your fingers on the electrodes on the back of the handle. Your thumbs must remain in contact with the electrodes for the whole duration of the measurements.
- The measurement will take 30 seconds. Please try to stand still for the duration of the measurement.
For the most accurate ECG measurements, please follow these guidelines:
- Do not move or speak during the recording.
- Remove all rings and jewelry you might have, as this can lead to a poor recording.
- Your arms must be relaxed, along the body. Make sure that there is no skin-to-skin contact when taking the recording.
- Make sure that you are not holding the handle too tightly.
