Note: Pulse Wave Velocity is only available in Europe.
If you don't get any data
If you don't get any Pulse Wave Velocity data, perform the following steps:
- Make sure the Pulse Wave Velocity screen is still activated in your Withings App.
- Make sure that impedance is activated on your scale. To do so, go to Devices > Body Comp > Advanced Settings > Impedance Technology and switch on the feature if needed.
- Make sure you step on the scale barefoot.
- Make sure your scale is clean.
Click here for cleaning instructions. - Make sure you remain completely still and do not talk for the entire time you're on the scale.
- Make sure your feet are centered on the scale as pictured:
- Try to moisten your feet if everything else fails.
Note: After installing your Body Comp, you will need five valid measurements before you can access the Pulse Wave Velocity graph. These measurements are required to calibrate Pulse Wave Velocity measurement on your scale. You will receive an item in the Home tab every time you get a valid measurement, and a final one once you can access the graph.
If your data doesn't seem accurate
Important: Vascular Age and Pulse Wave Velocity data are two different features, meaning that discrepancies between the two are possible. Read more.
If your Pulse Wave Velocity data doesn't seem accurate, perform the following steps:
- Make sure you step on the scale barefoot.
- Make sure your scale is clean.
Click here for cleaning instructions. - Make sure you remain completely still and do not talk for the entire time you're on the scale.
- Make sure you're in a quiet room where the temperature is stable (ideally 71.6-73.4°F / 22-23°C).
- Make sure you take the measurement at the same hour every day, and at least three hours after a meal, drinking coffee or smoking a cigarette.
