    Hi
I have the same problem with the ScanWatch Horizon that I bought in April? My battery is dead after a week. This morning 8:00 I had 29% and at 10:30 it was dead. No warning that I have to charge it.

Same problem here with a Scanwatch which is now about 2 years old. Battery lasts not as long as before the latest firmware upgrade.

Miguel, I contacted Withings Support in their chat.
I had got some information about what I should do before they take it further.
Charge the watch for 4 hours and then see what happens. If it still drains I should contact them again.

Same problem here. Scanwatch suddenly drains battery and dies without any low batery warnings, only started ~ 2 weeks ago. Very frustrating.

I’ve been having the same issues, and no one has answered my email to the support center (granted it’s only been a day or two since I sent it, but no acknowledgement that they’ll get back to me, either). It’s disappointing. It makes me want to go back to Apple..

I have sent 3 mail to the support, replying back on the thread that was sent to me by the support.
    NO answer 😡

Sam problem as you all. Customer service are saying it's not the software, it's my watch and I need to buy a new one. they offered a 25% discount, then 50% discount. I said it's utterly ridiculous to suggest that hundreds of people's watches all suddenly developed a fault when they updated the software and it's nothing to do with the software!

Someone will apparently get back to me soon...this is literally unbelievable!

@patstrandqvist no me neither! I kept telling them I'm going to buy another watch just because their new software is broken! It's scandalous!

Same problem here. Battery drains in 24-48 hours. The change happened overnight. Hoping for a quick solution. I don’t want to buy the new model. One of the main reasons I got this product has to do with battery life.

    Hi

Exactly the same problem with ScanWatch. Amazing battery for a year and half and updated a week ago and battery drains in 3-4 days. I sold Apple Watch because I was not happy charging it everyday. Not yet contacted Withings. Hoping for a quick solution. It must be under warranty

I guess my problem is pretty much the same as many others on the list. It’s most certainly a firmware upgrade that is the root cause of this problem. Looking for a fix or a new firmware upgrade.

It’s the same problem for me - after the firmware upgrade 2741 - the battery (which used to last 20+ days) now lasts 1.5 days. All services have been turned off to conserve battery drainage. Am now seeing if the battery lasts when I disassociate the watch from the app. But otherwise - I can only assume that Withings has to assume responsibility for this. I doubt if my problem is unique - everyone here seems to be saying the same thing.

Having the same exact problem since the app updated to version 6. I’m charging every other day now instead of once a month ish. Charged yesterday and I’m already at 5%. I think it’s something that happens overnight - during the day the battery doesn’t drop by much.

They offered me, after testing, an exchange of my watch. Had no other choice, but pretty sure this is useless and it's not a hardware problem.

I'm betting that they changed something in the latest firmware related to battery charging / overcharging.  I didn't have any issues before updating the firmware either.  Now my watch is going from 100% to 60-70% in just a few hours after charging, and having massive fluctuations (+/-10%) in battery level during normal usage as well.  It's lasting only 1-1.5 weeks with minimal use now.  I don't even wear my watch during the workday so it should last a lot longer like it used to.

I logged the average and instantaneous battery voltages from the debug menu (pressing and holding the crown) for the last week to see if I could glean anything from that.  It looks like the reported battery percentage on the watch is purely a linear function which treats average battery >= 4200mV as 100%, and 3650mV as 0%.  My watch dropped from 4277mV on the charger (technically 114%, but shown as 100%) to 3983mV (60.5%) the next morning.  It did the same thing the next time as well.  I'm wondering if they are cutting off bulk charging once it hits a certain (lower) voltage instead of performing an absorption charge at 4.35V, which could explain this ~40% drop in reported capacity overnight...  In any case, we have no idea what changed in the firmware, and hopefully Withings can provide a fix.

I contacted witihngs via chat, they did some remote check of some sort (bad batch of something?, should have asked) and they told it has a a HW fault and will send a replacement for free as it is still under warranty. I got confirmation replacement parcel is on its way. Waiting to receive and report if actually was the case.

I suggest you contact chat (not email) and figure this out. Cheers

Exact same problem here. My watch is 4 months old. Until a few weeks ago had 3-4 weeks battery life. But now it lasts 3 days from 100% to 0%. UPDATE: I have contacted support via chat. They did an external test and concluded my hardware is broken. I sent in the watch (it was still under warranty) and 3 days later received a new one by mail. Now to see how this new one performs.

Same problem here, battery drains in closer to 30-hours than 30-days. I've not changed any behaviours or settings. The issue coincided with the app update. The battery does not drain at pace if I turn off the bluetooth connection on my phone whereas, even in low battery mode, the charge disappears very quickly when connected. Obviously the device is doing less when bluetooth is off but the difference in performance is night and day. Perhaps a connection being left open draining the battery?

Well .... got my replacement scanwatch for free under warranty after the chat

Very nice service ... got it very fast and all

But has the exact same behaviour as the one I sent ... as "defective" due "hardware issue" .... time to contact again support via chat

My feedback after receiving my replacement scanwatch:

    • watch received at 45%, installed without full charge, using immediately
    • 4 days later, watch at 35%, so let's say 3%/day, thus no more discharging

So there is hope, at least for some of us.

I chanrged 100% this morning was 55% ... so not a good replacement for me

"Thank you for staying connected as well as for your feedback. In this case, please use the watch normally until it reaches 0% and ensure that it is synced to your Withings app. This is for us to have enough data for this matter. Once your watch reaches 10% or 0%, kindly get back to me. "

    So lets see :)

I’ve got my replacement last Friday and I charged it for 6 hours and it was 100% the morning after it was 68% after 4 hours in the couch and 8 hours in the bed…….. After lunch on Saturday it was down on 32%.
I’ve had contacted the support again so let see what’s happening.
    The story continues………….

Same problem here. Happy Scanwatch 1 user since the day that it was released until a week or two ago where now the battery barely lasts a day or two!
I am going to raised support ticket and if they refuse to help or acknowledge the problem then I will lodge with UK trading standards.

I have been wearing my watch for almost 2 years and have not had any problems, but after the last update the watch battery went dead after 3-4 days.

I should have added to my post above that I'm on iOS. I'd be interested to know if this is a common problem among users who link to an iPhone versus Android. Is the problem just an iOS one or Android too?
