It seems to me from different sources (e.g. https://support.withings.com/hc/en-us/articles/209090737-Steel-I-m-having-syncing-issues-What-should-I-do-), that location services on your phone should always be enabled for the watch to sync properly. I don't like to enable location services at all times, so it would have been better to know this before buying the watch.
Is there any other way to have a reliable syncing method without having to enable location services?
