So, does anyone else has any more feedback about 6.2 after a couple of days of usage?

Version 6.2 shows no significant improvement. I went back to 6.01 and everything works fine, battery consumption is normal. You'd think they'd know what they've installed and take it back! I am extremely disappointed with Withings.

Interesting, Jakub.Karasek...I also have the S23Ultra, Android 14, and had no issues when I put the app into deep sleep. I'd also done an uninstall/reinstall. But I'd started using the app again (out of deep sleep) and was fine, so turned on notifications...draining started immediately.

I'm wondering if everyone with this issue is still using the free version of the app or if this problem is also being seen with the Withings+ version?

I've gone three days now without any excessive battery drain on my S24 Ultra.

I'm not giving it the all clear yet and still have the 6.0.1 .apk on standby.

What I did was to update Google Play Services by going to my phone settings -> apps and selecting Google Play Services from the app list. Then at the bottom you click 'view details in app store' to open the Play store page for it, then click update if there's an update option.

Then I updated the Withings app back to 6.1.0 via the Play store.

    It's since updated to 6.2.0.

No battery drain yet. (I'm not holding my breath but this is the longest I've gone so far without the problem reoccurring).

In my case 6.2.0 was fine for 4 days before the issue presented itself again, tested on both Android 13 and 14. 6.0.1 remains without issue.

Reverted to 6.0.1 after problems started (had to uninstall app to do that), but updated through play store to version 6.2.0 when it came out (I'm not in the beta program). Day five and still no problem, in my case the official version 6.2.0 works normally. S22 ultra on android 14.

EDIT: After 6 days battery drain started again on 6.2.0. Definitely not fixed.

I have the same problem and I am very dissappointed that this problem is not communicated actively as it seems to affect a huge numberof users! I was sure that my battery is defect and ordered a new battery to repair my phone.

I hope the issue gets solved within next few days and that there will be an active information as I have to empty the cache every day - if not the battery usage rises again and I always have to carry a source of power with me all the day.

Yeah - shortly after I posted that I noticed the issue had reoccurred. Back to version 6.0.1.

I can't believe that it's not fixed, considering the app is the hub for ALL their products.

I feel sorry for those who will be getting Withings products as Christmas presents this year if it's not fixed beforehand.

It's truly baffling they haven't rolled back the version to the last stable

People will have legitimately ditched their phones thinking the battery has gone, when it's instead a known issue with the app.

    ...Just roll it back

Bye bye Withings. What's the point of a smartwatch that can only be used as a watch. Can't afford to use an app that drains my phone battery so rapidly. I very nearly purchased a new ScanWatch 2 yesterday, not happening now. Will be going back to my analogue watch.

Version 6.2 does no improvement. Tested on OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 10T, both with the latest build of official Oxygen OS Android v. 13.1.

Withings let Google delete many negative reviews on Google Play including mine. They were stupid enough to post an answer to my review so I have a proof in my email. Then they deleted the review completely. Withings acting so unprofessionally.

J'ai du desinstaller l'appli Withings. Comment être informé que le bug sera corrigé ?

I had to uninstall the Withings app. How can I be informed that the bug will be fixed?

I'm on 6.2 and still getting the issue. Come on withings you need to address this issue and reply on this board. I was considering buying from you for various family members and now I'm regretting buying the scanwatch 2.

Your app accounts for 46% of battery usage. Not on!

The issue persists on Android 10 and Android 13 with version 6.2. These are the only devices I have access to.
This is a critical error, I don't understand how it takes more than a month to fix this. It's something that happened between 6.0.1 and 6.1, how hard can it possibility be to identify the bug?

I have been using this app since 2017 (on IOS), never had a problem.

It's clear what Withings thinks of Android users after this, if it was something that lasted a week I would have understood, but coming with another update after they broke the app and not addressing the issue of the previous version...?!? The version description says "Discover 150 optimizations". I guess battery draining affecting all Android users is not something worth including in the 150 optimizations.

Pixel 8 Pro here with the same battery drain issue. The two things that have seemed to help are to change app battery usage settings to Restricted and turn off the app notifications. I'm still receiving notifications on my watch as Bluetooth is still connected and I've left notifications turned on within the watch settings in the app itself.

Told the support that I just bought secondhand Garmin smartwatch. It's ridiculous how they "fix" problems. My watch is now unusable since October so I will sell it - hope someone will buy this crap... Was on 6.2. beta and it didn't fix anything so there is no hope for me.

    ajtullio,
"I would suggest flagging the app in the Google play store. In the upper right hand corner in the app store, you can "flag as inappropriate" select "other" and explain the issue. I fear this behavior may damage my phone or at least the battery. We get enough of these in they may disable downloads until Google can investigate and hopefully persuade them to fix this faster"

This is really the best idea, the only way to get them to do something.

Same huge drain issue for Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with 6.1 AND 6.2.

Had again to rollback to 6.0.1. No problems for me there!

Telling us to turn off notifications is useless for such a watch. We are already waiting for too long for a fix in my opinion...

Same for me: Had again to rollback to 6.0.1. No problems for me there!

But I'm looking for changing of brand because it's not the first release having this problem and I bought this watch for notifications.

Do you know another watch like this steel HR sport, long time battery and not too huge ?

Ope. Day three: 41% of my battery is withings. This is so peculiar. Gonna give the "restricted" setting a go

Go to the play store, three dots in the upper right corner. Flag as inappropriate> select "harmful to device or data"

I am so fed up with this issue and the fact that Withings ignores it! I finally flagged the app as inappropriate on the Play Store. You should all do the same!

Same experience in my old OnePlus Nord 2 and my new OnePlus 11. App drain the battery. If I disconnect the bluetooth the battery comes back to a normal consumption, but as soon as it is connected to the watch, the battery consumption increases.

How can I install an older version? Also since the last update the app is full of useless information that can not be removed (requesting to pay for features constantly).
