    Dear users,

If you get a “go to thermo.withings.com” message, here’s what you can do:

    1) If the battery level is at 25% or below, please replace the batteries with new, non-rechargeable ones. We advise using Energizer or Duracell.

    2) Disassociate your Thermo from the app. You will find how to do that here. If the device is also connected via Bluetooth, please “forget” your Thermo from the Bluetooth devices of your phone.

    3) Perform a factory reset. For that, please:

    - Press and hold the button on Thermo until the word 'SETUP' appears on its display (this may take up to 10 seconds).

    - Quickly press the button on Thermo 6 times until the words 'FACTORY RESET' begin to scroll on the Thermo's display.

    - Quickly press the button on Thermo 5 times and the Thermo's display will power off.

    4) Delete the app and download it again.

    5) Thermo is now ready to be set up. You’ll find how to set up your device here.

If the issue persists, I invite you to email us via https://within.gs/help.

    Have a nice day,

    Hi therealmatthias,

Did you try factory resetting the device? Did you try unpairing and repairing + reinstalling the Thermo?

    Hope it works with that.

    Best regards

I am having the same issue as mentioned by therealmatthias.

It started showing the "go to thermo.withings.com" a couple of days ago. I try to do a new installation but not successful.

How does one do a factory reset for this device?

    Look forward to some advice.

    Best Regards

Same issue. Happened after a battery replacement and my Thermo is bricked. I’ve tried all the re-setup options and I get errors when I try to remove the device. The support from withings is terrible.

Update: finally found the customer service number, which is. It displaying correctly on Safari through the iPhone.
    +1 (800) 961-5127

I was able to get through and they solved my issue.

[1] Remove Thermo from Bluetooth devices through iPhone settings

[2] Factory reset Thermo. Hold button until you see Select. Quickly press the button 6 times at the next phase (I think it says factory reset). Then quickly press the button 5 times at the next phase (I think it just said reset). Thermo will turn off.

[3] Delete and re-install the Thermo app. You will need to login again.

[3] Follow installation instructions per screen.

Hope you all have success. It worked here. Only downside is I have a fever. 🤒

Thank you! Your solution solved the problem. The only thing I want to add is that by step two, you mentioned hold the button until you see “select”, this I did not get. What I got was “setup”. After that I was able to get to factory reset accordingly. 👍

Followed these directions and reconnected. Now my thermo doesn’t respond to a button press; only the setup process comes on after holding the button down for a while.
    This is so infuriating
I have my whole family battling fevers.
    What a piece of garbage

UPDATE: it wouldn’t respond to any button press so I took out the batteries and put them back in and it started responding again

I suggest you remove the Thermo from the Bluetooth settings of your phone before performing the factory reset. Make sure also to enable the Bluetooth permission for the Thermo app.

I have:  1.  Factory Reset  2. Removed/Installed App  3. Replaced batteries -- dozens of time.  I always get Connection Unsuccessful.  I have contacted Website and not getting back specific instructions to resolve.  I have the scales, the blood pressure monitor, and synched to Apple Watch and iPhone.  This has been exceedingly frustrating.  The batteries went dead and I replaced them and here I am hours and DAYS of frustration, plus went to store for new batteries assuming the new batterie at home had gone bad, etc. etc. etc.  The system knows the Thermo is there.  It just will not connect.

I resolved.  I removed Thermo 42 from "MY DEVICES" under iPhone Bluetooth settings and reset.

So I have the same issue and tried the steps that carrig noted and still didn't work.

Here's my steps on my iPhone that made it work.

    1. Made Sure my iPhone was up to date.

    2. Remove The Thermo bluetooth pairing named "Thermo C6".

    3. Deleted The Thermo App.

    4. Factory Reset the Thermo via steps below

    - Hold button until you see SETUP

    - Pressed the button 6 times until I saw FACTORY RESET

    - Pressed the button 5 times until it turned off

    5. Installed The Thermo App from the App Store.

    6. Login to my account and followed the steps.

    - Selected the option I Don't Have a WIFI Network during the setup process

    7. Turned the device on and no longer seeing the "go to thermo.withings.com"

    8. Try to take temp > works.

This weirdly enough worked for me, only difference between carrig’s steps and mine was the exact steps I took above.

I tried everything recommended on this page yet nothing worked.
Eventually I removed the Thermo from the App and tried to set it up from scratch as a new device but that did not work either. I also tried going back to the factory setting and it did not help.
